How to create a 14day trial - noob problemFollow

Hi,

I just downloaded the install package from SWG official site, installed it, but when I run the launcher i cannot get into game. There is no way to create a trial account, no trial key generator or sth similar. When i click on the New account or My account buttons in the launcher and error page appears.

I already have a SOE account where i used to play VSOH and EQ2, so maybe there is a way to add trial to such account. Any suggestion would be really appreciated! If you have any links or so, please post them. I am totally new to SWG, and couldnt find help on Station forums.

i know it sounds stupid, but did you fo0llow the instructions on the site? the 5 step thing that is.

gonna try to download and setup an account, gonna take a few hours though.

as for the second guy, if you played before, you would have to set up a new station account to use for the trial, so just make an account made for this trial alone, then maybe try to log into it from the trial client login, see if you get any options.

its hard to say anything really until i have it setup.

well, it worked for me, currently updating, what i did was,

install the game

when it asked me to log into my station account, i chose make new account (since my station account already has SWG on it)

then i logged in with that account, and was given 3 options, the top one being try for 14 days.

for the first poster, just try to log in with your current station account, and see if you get teh try for 14 days option

that didnt work for ya? that sucks, i even made the new account through the launchpad.

i just went through this yesterday the problem is you dont have internet explorer or at least dont have it set as default browser.. go download IE7 at windows.com and install restart pc and then try.. everything should work like a charm


also on another note same subject. i had gotten rid of IE cause of all the viruses i was forced to reinstall to play swg i jokingly said yesterday i doomed my pc by installing it. and when i had logged on this morning i found my character naked in mos eisley


the last time i was hacked like 2+ yrs ago i had IE.. got rid of it no hackings no viruses ever with firefox and kaspersky

get IE7 to play swg... get hacked same day.. funny how that works lol


the good news is it was no big deal as im a 1st day noob and only had like 15k credits and just lvl 10


so i just started over as commando lol

got rid of IE again full system scan spybot scan and quarantine then after loged in firefox and changed my account details.. so we will see if i get hacked again tonight while i sleep lol

make sure IE is your default browser or it wont connect to net

if that dont work uninstall and re install IE7 fresh that worked... also i havent gotten hacked again after i got rid of IE lol

not to be a beggar.. well yes to be a beggar lol.. if anyone can please /tip IceBox on bloodfin server lol lvling a trader is hard i have to kill for like 8 hours on my commando low 1x lvl to craft for 5 minits on trader and get 1- 100th of a lvl lol

i know ppl tell me craft structures.. easier dsaid then done when i cant afford to buy power or pay maint to harvest let alone buy steel and stuff
