Well with my experience, the quickest download is from www.lotro.com itself, just use the 7 day free trial download, since you already have an account there's no need to register a new one. The direct link is also posted in the FAQ at the top of this forum. This pc doesnt have a dvd rom, and when I did the install, it only took a few hours.

Beginner tips: Do every quest that you can, do alot of deeds, learn the area's since you'll be visiting them often. Turn in quests when they are Dark Blue to Orange for max xp (there is a reduction if you turn in a quest over your level). Lastly, have fun.

If you are seeking a kinship, keep the unnofficial allakhazam kinship in mind. We are located on Meneldor server and have many people on that can invite you should you choose to join.

Few other questions.

1. how's the end game content?

2. Is there any class who's soloing skill stands out more then others?

3. Is there any class thats hard to get groups for?

4. is there a class that says oh **** not another one?

5. and is there a class that is in high demand?

I've played healers tanks dps in other games and i enjoy them all so nothing is really going to make me pick one just curious

1. how's the end game content?

There is some, but it's not as involved as other games that have been out longer. Each major update has been bringing more content for high end players though. The Rift, Helegrod, and Annumis areas are alot of fun and the rewards for getting the appropriate quest items is well worth it IMO.

2. Is there any class who's soloing skill stands out more then others?

This would vary on your playstyle. A minstrel (healer) can solo the same mobs as a champion (dual wielding/offtank)for the most part, but with different methods. A majority of people beleive a Hunter is the best.

3. Is there any class thats hard to get groups for?

No. The only issue with any class not getting a group would be based on how many other types of that class are in it. A group of a Minstrel, Burgalar, and 4 hunters would be chaos. Sure it would work, but not effectively.

4. is there a class that says oh sh*t not another one?

Hunter/Champions are a dime a dozen. This doesnt mean they are not needed, but they are common.

5. and is there a class that is in high demand?

Always always always the Minstrel, and Guardians (main tanks). Each class is balanced well though so no matter what you choose, you will be needed.

Yes they do give you the first 30 days free, but I beleive you still have to pay the subscription first to receive it. It starts when you activate.

You have to submit payment details before you can activate the account, but they don't deduct payment from your card or paypal account etc until the end of the 30 days
