WHY!!!!!! WHY GOD WHY?!??!?!?

*cries*

I just had to get that out there!

:p

I'm very annoyed! Not only will they not let me into beta because I'm "media", they are going to push this thing back into oblivion! I've been a fan boy for Mythic since they launched DAoC but here, I see the evil forces of EA at work, and it scares me!!

They are setting themselves up for disappointment. After a wait this long, this game had better be Jesus incarnate at release, and since it won't be, I shall be forced to tattoo "EA is evil" somewhere on my body! =(

They're pushing it dangerously close to the WotLK release too, which is a bad move on their part imo.

I was really looking forward to a release date just before summer, which would give me plenty of time to play. Sigh.

Yeah. If you're releasing a new MMO you want to do it as far away from a new WoW expansion as possible. They could be in big trouble if the releases are too close together.

I'm upset by this too. Even more that I've been on the damned Beta list for FOREVER. I'm a founding member of their forums or what ever they call it. At least I think it was for War, I'm on a lot of beta lists. I LOVE/LOVED DAoC. I would still play if there was a decent population. I need me some RvR! WoW has nothing on the old school DAoC RvR. I'm hoping WAR can compete.

WAR doesnt have any forums, no official ones anyway.

#14REDACTED, Posted: Apr 10 2008 at 7:42 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) It seems like Failhammer and Age of Conan have been competing to see who can win the "I pushed my game back more times then you did" game. If AoC actually releases in May like its supposed to, I guess it loses that game.

WAR will mostly likely not be released before October. The good news is that I hear open beta should be start in the early summer, but it's not worth counting on.

real creative /eyeroll

maybe you should go talk about word of failcraft, which was in development longer than WAR has been.

and FYI, AoC has been in development for 5 years, WAR hasnt even been in development for 3.
