I notice that most of the quest helps are done in coordinates. I do not see coordinates listed on my map anywhere. The /loc command gives me gibberish that does not at all fit. So far I have been unable to located an addon to download to give me coordinates. Help.

Thanks

I'm not sure how to bring up coordinates on your map, but to get them in your chat box (without the gibberish) use the command " ;loc " (semi-colon instead of the slash for some reason).

Send the command to yourself in a tell also, otherwise you will be spamming the say channel. Not sure why it does that but if you do "/tell "your name" ;loc" it will send it to you as a tell and you won't clutter up the say channel and annoy the crap out of anyone around you. I found out the hard way. Smiley: grin

Like Tsakiera said...sending the ;loc to yourself in a tell is the best solution, not only because you wont have to be spamming the channels, but you can switch over to the IM tab and you wont have to worry about other people's conversations scrolling your info off the chat box.

The reason is that it is not a command, it's a tag that retrieves the relevant data and puts it in it's place in chat. It's like using escape codes in HTML or if any of you play FFXI, it's like using the <pos> tag.
