E-mail your top 5 choices to vcpoll@futureus.com

My list consisted of:

1. Earthbound
2. Earthbound
3. Earthbound
4. Earthbound
5. Earthbound

The email link comes from the latest issue of Nintendo Power so I can't really post a link to show its authenticity.

the jp only Fire Emblems

I don't even care if they translate them. i'm sure I could figure out the story by context and crap. I just want some good srpgs and the market it painfully dull right now. Until ffta2 I can't think of one at all.

can't say it's particularly amazing, but Shining Force is on the Virtual Console.

If you check out VCReviews.com you'll find a lot of people want nintendo to release starfox 2 and super mario allstars(tremendously bad business move on nintendo's part, so it won't happen)

Star Fox 2 was never released(but was supposedly 90% complete or more)

Personally, and this probably would never happen either, I'd like to see the Masou Kishin Super Robot Wars game for the SNES released. It used original characters and mecha, so the licensing issues which prevent most super robot wars games from ever being released outside of Japan wouldn't exist

Others include Mother, Mother 2, FF6(originally ascribed 3 in the US) and anything that doesn't suck, really.

Seiken Densetsu 3 would be cool.

I bought Shining Force actually.

It's perfect in every way except that you can't see the turn order. There is a speed stat but it does **** all that I can figure out. I had it on the dreamcast a long time ago (sega smash collection) and couldn't ever figure out how to save it, but somehow I was young enough not to mind not being able to predict when I could move.

The difference between the (english, at least) fire emblems and an srpg like FFT or Luminous Arc is that you can move your side at once instead of having each character with a speed, horribly reducing cheap deaths!

sounds like you might enjoy super robot wars: original generations 1&2 for the GBA

Even if you don't like robots, it's still a fun SRPG where you can move your whole side at once.XD

the roms are readily available..if you know where to look

Don't get me wrong. I loved fft and company but my number 1 in the genre has been disgaea for a long time now. I just can't stand stuff like...

Move mage
move tank
enemy1 attacks tank
move mage
enemy1 kills mage
tank cries
enemy2 attacks tank
enemy2 attacks tank

you get the idea

If I remember right these games don't have mages....you just have a whole bunch of mechs that can be customized and pilots that can do various different things(heck, even the pilots can be customized)

Final Fantasies are unlikely to happen, not while they can release them on other things (like the GBA/DS) and sell them for more

Which Goemon? There were two...one was the 3d roaming one and the other was 2d sidescrolling with 3d graphics.

lol a friend of mine let me borrow that game, and I never gave it back. I tried to give it back but it turns out he sold his 64 so he said I could keep it. It's a really fun game.

The New Tetris on the N64. Fucking game is still $40 used around here.

Shining Force
Shining Force 2
Golden Axe Warrior
Landstalker
Chakan: The forever man

Weird list but I loved these games.

Any and all of the Square or Square Enix, or Enix games (whatever the hell they're called).

Chrono Trigger
Earthbound
Secret of Evermore
Secret of Mana
Final Fantasy I, II, and III (U.S. releases obviously)
Breath of Fire (II just doesn't cut it)

hm, what else do I want? That would just about do it, I think!
