Ok this started happening 2 days ago, I logged off one time and thenext time i tried to log back in I selected my character and clicked enter middle earth but it stayed at the loading bar screen for 5 minutes then came up with "connection to the server has been lost!" and keeps doing so over and over. I made a new account and it worked fine i got in and all and played for a while then i tried to go back to bree where my other character was and right when it started loading from the horse quick travel it did the same thing now that account doesnt work either. i have contacted numerous gms and tickets and live support and they keep sending me in circles. does anyone know why it would be doing this??? I have tried reinstalling the game. I have portforwarding set up. PLEASE HELP!
thanks

It no doubt is a turbine issue. When they (or any game) work on their servers, depending on the part of info its working...it may be in a sector that has your character information.

Other then continued calling of tech support to turbine, I dont know, hopefully others can help you.

If you havn't already, I would reccomend a thorough search of the official forums.

There is a wealth of info there.

Only yesterday, I came acrross a post from some tekno whizz, and after following his instructions about tweaking/resetting/repairing/fiddling a few grafix settings, LOTRO is now running on Ultra-Hi DX10, knobs bells whistles, at a minimum of 30 fps, even in Bree at busy times.

I'm well chuffed.

Something similar happend to me where the game would crash at the character select screen. I updated some Microsoft driver or what-not (sorry cannot be more specific at this time since I do not remember the app name). The procedure was in the error message box that pops up when LOTRO crashes.

Download & install the update and Bob's your uncle...
