Eve Online Skill Trainer?Follow

Has anybody heard anything about a program called Mofiki's Eve Online Skill Trainer?

It looks like a really cool program and I was wondering if anybody knows if its any good? It seems to be legit and the website http://mofiki.com seems to be trustworthy but i'm just not sure. There is information for those of you like me that may not have heard about it (well me before this morning) at:

http://mofiki.com/ php_uploads/ phpBB3/ viewtopic.php?f=21&t=15

Also is this against the EULA? It looks like all the macro does is when your skill is up login, change your skill and log back out.

I have posted in a few other forums as well to try and find something out I will make my rounds and let everone know what I find :)

okay I went ahead and downloaded the trainer to try it out but ran alot of scanners and memory editors and watched my router as well.

End result ... nothing was sent out ... no keylogger so I went ahead and pre-ordered it.

Not endorsing just letting you know it seems to be a great program/macro and the trainer has been flawless for me so far :)

not sure about the skill trainer, but the site is offering macro's which ARE a ELUA violation

so I'll stick with EveMON

I would wager that while CCP might not be really actively trying to stop this particular program, it's technically against the rules.

EVEmon for me too!

If the program includes macro's then yes, it is against the EULA, and anyone caught using it will lose their account. Evemon is a freebie, and its legit, its not a good idea to break Eve's EULA as the devs really arent afraid to wield the ban stick, they've pretty much killed the RMT'ers, with their timecard-isk scheme, the dev team are inventive, and very pro-active, so getting your account closed due to illegal macro use would be stupid, and pretty much inevitable.

I would also like to add. After researching the specified program and the disclaimer that comes with it. The program looks to be 100% illegal, using it risks 2 things;

firstly breach of the EULA and loss of account privileges

secondly, loss of account details to third parties which means basically a third party has access to your account details and is able to use it to their own ends.

EVE are currently warning players about attempts by companies/individuals to acquire their account details/passwords, this program could well be one of the methods used. My personal advice is to avoid it like the plague.

I have been using it regularly now and haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. I have watched my firwall and had memory scanners running and It doesn't seem to send your login info anywhere. It takes it and saves it to a settings file to be read when it needs to login to change a skill but that seems to be all. I can't completely vouch for it but it seems legit.

All it does is login change your skill and then logout so I don't think its trackable. (even if it is i'm not sure that CCP would care because it doesn't actually give an advantage) It just saves you the stress of making sure you are in front of a computer everytime a skill is up.

As mentioned I can only give my thoughts I can't actually vouch for the proggy because its not open source but it seems to be fine. I have been using it daily since my first post.

Well, it MAY not be overly track able, but I think we all know the devs as of late are on high alert, with the source leak and all. Whether that means they'll be distracted or focused toward this sort of thing, I'm not sure.
