Spy racesFollow

Sorry if this has been touched on already...

I want a spy character, but I don't feel like making a Bothan. Are Sullustans any good as spies? I figure with their hearing and navigational skills they could be decent, but I mainly just hear about them being pilots. I know I can make any race any profession I choose, but I want to be somewhat accurate to the world of Star Wars.

Thanks.

i dont think it really matters, besides, wouldnt the race no one would suspect of being a soy make the best spy?

actually it does matter when it comes down to you and your enemy and your at your last health point. this doesn't happen all the time, matters more in pvp, but there is times when it comes down to if you picked that race over this one. you might win that one fight because of a few points on some stat so here it is..

Human Statistics
+50 Precision
+50 Strength
+50 Stamina
+50 Agility

Wookiee Statistics
+10 Precision
+85 Strength
+85 Constitution
+40 Stamina

Rodian Statistics
+80 Precision
+20 Stamina
+80 Agility
+20 Luck

Bothan Statistics
+65 Precision
+25 Constitution
+50 Agility
+60 Luck

Mon Calamari Statistics
+60 Precision
+40 Constitution
+60 Stamina
+40 Luck

Trandoshan Statistics
+50 Strength
+65 Constitution
+65 Stamina
+20 Agility

Twi'lek Statistics
+40 Precision
+60 Stamina
+60 Agility
+40 Luck

Zabrak Statistics
+50 Precision
+50 Strength
+50 Constitution
+50 Agility

Ithorian Statistics
+40 Precision
+60 Strength
+70 Stamina
+30 Luck

Sullustan Statistics
+40 Strength
+60 Constitution
+60 Agility
+40 Luck

when rolling a spy you typically want to go for direct damage which is stregnth for melee and prec for range, on paper ithorian looks the best but it is ruff to equip an ithorian as they have racial armor.. zabrak and human also look ok.. sullustan will do for melee but you want prec and strgth mainly because prec helps to activate the critical "strikethru" even when you melee.

on paper ithorian looks the best.

i thought so too, but those are NGE stats, so there might still be something of a differance

this change to racial stats occured about 2-3 chapters ago. (but now we got "game updates" on top of chapters so its more like 5-6 updates ago)

we wer supposed to get a special species ability along with these stats but the station.com campers couldnt agree on anything, whined, got it changed, whined some more.. then the devs said "*** it you get no species special at all" but not in those exact words

isnt that always how it goes =(

mmo devs need to stop listening to everything they read on there forum, stupid people complain about everything and anything, even if theve asked for it.

yea everyone was way stoked on species specials like back in the day we had them remember zabrak could do wierd stuff and heal mind bar or something and thando had a constitution buff, wookies had wookie roar-

which is where the NGE version of the contreversy began- wookie roar in NGE was planned to be an AoE stun- so then ppl like humans and zabraks (95% of the population) complained that they wouldnt be able to wookie roar- but humans were going to get a group buff- I forget what zabrak was going to get- but trandos were going to get an extra long cooldown heal- then everyone whined they wanted an extra heal-

but twileks were going to get a dodge buff (which is what i wanted because i already hav avoid damage which is a 50% dodge buff for 15 seconds- was planning to link the two and make a massively long dodge buff)

ALL the species had super cool specials planned for NGE but everyone of course everyone only wanted the extra heal or woookie roar- so the devs said ok well you could be a human raised by wookies so you'll be able to pick your "origin of birth" (which meant you could pick any species special you wanted to regardless of your species) then they all cried about the nonsense logic of that and that is what killed the entire idea- the devs will not mention anything of it now,

yea i agree but we will never see that done by a big corporation like sony. the devs kno whats up kinda but they are controlled by suits who pay them to do what they say- "make jedi stronger" or "bring BH up to Jedi" the devs are as sick of this cycle as we are- Jedi and BH get really powerful then all other classses get updated and when the BH and Jedi start dying again too much from the other profs then the whole cycle begins again- jedi and BH get even more powerful thus the cycle goes on for how many years tho..?
