Hey, I'm really new to this game and just looking for a quick answer. I am about to take a job to gather ore. My ship cannot hold enough ore in one trip, will the job giver accept if some of it is in my item section(ie, i take two trips, some is on the ship, some in the station.)

Its best to have all items in one or the other location, ive ended up with lots of homeless because some were in my cargohold and some in station
the only time you may have a problem with a mission is when your delivering giant sealed containers, you can break the stack, but I'm not sure if you have to re-stack to complete (dont think so)

Yep! If it's something that can be split (ore, food, textiles, etc.,) you can split it into two trips. However, be aware! Sometimes you'll get missions with one big item and you can't split it up.
That's when ya start training for an indy, or grab a corp mate!
