Having said that, they cost 3g. I had 65 silver by level 40, so you better start saving up.

Also, for all those that have the Rhino/Mammoth mount... Don't get too excited. It's not faster than walking, and it does awful damage.

It does look superb, though. And you can block whole streets in big cities by just sitting there.

Other than that, pretty useless.

True, you can run faster than the Rhino`s. I logged on last night knowing i had 17 silver and there was only 4 in my bags. Gutted because it took an age to accumulate that amount. Petitioned a GM but im not holding out for an answer. Buggedy bug bug.

Sucks :(

From what I've heard petitions take ages to get heard. And even when you do manage to talk to someone, they're not always that helpful.

It's a bit like praying, really.

Good luck anyway.

Unrelated but I sure hope they fix that crap. People go AFK, for extended periods of time, by doors and such and you can't get passed them to leave. I got stuck in the little tavern place in the starter city because a bunch of people were blocking the door. In the amount of time it would have taken a GM to move them, I could have started a new character and gotten it to 80.

It's just really damned annoying.

It's not easy fixing that without changing things radically. Not being able to mount in cities or in a certain range around doorways could be an option, but I see a lot of negative side-effects in that. I'm sure Funcom will work it out, though.

About the OP:
This sort of thing makes me just so happy I'm not on a PvP server...

That video was rather funny... it is also the reason that my main is now on a PvE server as there is just too much random ganking on PvP servers for my taste.

Heh, I'm at 36 right now and have about 50 Silver. If you put points in Run Speed, you'll be as fast as a Mammoth, if only a bit slower. It seems those mounts are better for sieging then anything. I'd get a horse if only to travel across the damned (Beautiful) landscape faster.

Yup. The money is definitely an issue for me as well atm! Still have to determine what to grind and where to get it to get enough moneh for a mount!

Apparentyl quest money really improves in the late 40s early 50s. I think it's really hard to get 3G by lvl 40, but should be easy in the early-mis fifties. That's what guildies say anyway. I have around 80s at lvl 43, but I'm a bit of a spender.
