My cimmerian barb went from 36 - 38.999999 in the Sanctum last nite. 800+ xp for each kill in a group of 5 guildies (highest was 41).

Picked up a nice 2hander and a couple of bits of armour for when i ding 40.

Going back on Friday for the rest.

Great looking zone, especially the area where the Blood defiler lurks....

My highest char (Cimm Barb) is now 31 (almost 32). Could have been higher but I chose to level an Aqui Ranger and Stygian Assn to 20. Couldn't resist :p

Enjoying everything so far, I was just a little disappointed to see that my destiny q at level 30 was a rather easy one. Plus it stopped after only 1 q and will continue once I get to 50. Perhaps Tortage's amount of destiny q's kind of spoiled me :p

36 here, on average managing a lvl a night. A lot of people on the realm have hit 80 already and are complaining of lack of content. Serves em right, they must have missed so much. Im having a ball just finding new places to grind or quest.

Think i may have to find a group for the Pyramid tonite. That place looks amazing as you approach it from the desert, looming impending doom.

Its nice to see a few positive posts on this game, so many things are wrong with it at the moment ,but it guess they cant be that game breaking if we are still enjoying it.

I have a 43 Conqueror on a PvE server, a 20 Hox and a 20 ToS on RP-PvP servers.

But a couple of nights ago I was questing in the Villas in the Noble District in Tarantia, and got bugged. My char went "under the world", and couldn't go back up. I couldn't use HS, or even log out. So I restarted the CPU, and since then I can't log on to *any* of my characters. It's been 3 days, and apparently it should get fixed today during maintenance. So, fingers crossed.

I have to say though, FunCom's communication is a bit sh'it, really.

I've heard more complaints about that. I believe they were actively seeking to expand their current staff.
But I think it's very weird that a bug on 1 character makes it impossible to log into any other one... is it also not possible to create one on another server?

Anyway, I hope they get busy soon and fix your account!

No, I can't create another one, on any server.

And it's still fUcked, even after the patch. I'm glad I'm away for the week-end anyway, othewise I'd have been a bit annoyed.

Hmmm... that's not good. It would be decent enough of them to compensate your playtime. Not so much for the bug, but more for the lack of service. Imo you should be able to get at least some kind of reply after one day... but I can imagine their helpdesk being swamped with the petty whining about all sorts of trivial issues which they need to dig through first...

But they should have anticipated that by releasing the game when it was not fully finished yet. Ah well, let's hope it gets cleared up soon...

I've got a 24 Barb, 21 RNG, 27 Gaurd, 30 ToS, and I just started a new assassin.... >.>

I can't seem to stick with one. I'm in no hurry though. I don't want to get to 50 and have to grind. I'm not much of a grinder. I'm hoping by the time I have one in the 50's there will be more quests.

So far I like the ToS for ease of play and AoE nuking. It sucked from 1-15 but has been steadily getting better.

Now that I know more about the game I am enjoying the more challenging play of the assassin as one of the underpowered PvE underdogs.

I am still playing WoW at the same time though mostly raiding a couple nights a week and spending an hour or two farming for raid mats.

AoC is like my alt time. Just laid back stuff. I don't have endgame intentions in it but it is a nice diversion until WoTLK. :)

My sentiments exactly, loving the Assassin, a true hardcase when you get it right.

Trying out the assassin atm, only level 10. I love it how you really have to play the class well to get a group of mobs down. I does seem to fit the lore of the class, you really need the element of surprise!

In PvE they might be underdogs, but I expect them to be awesome in PvP!

Mmm, you`ll find it can be quite the opposite. Pvp is damn hard, people jumping round, your combo`s missing because you need to stay still. The burst damage is ace but you do need to time your attacks well, you need that stealth opener. You can easily get wasted by a player of a lower lvl especially if there is a few of them.

Last night for example i was in Connals valley and happened to be on the same quest as a lvl34 Barb and a 34Gaurd, they thought i was probably gonna take the mobs they were after so they ganged up on me.Boom dead, no problem, i expect that being a clothie with "stand still" combos.I rezzed and headed back down to where i last saw them. Waited till both were in the middle of a fight, swooped in (stealth swoop) and took the 1st down with swift strikes. 2nd guy went down no problem with 2 combos. Gave them an apology and tried my best to make it sound sincere (rp ftw). Most of my Pvp experience upto now has been of this nature, me taking revenge. I keep myself to myself and never attack unprovoked. Id lose most of the time.

Still my best class, hardest one to play i think. Always watching my back, always on edge. Deffo a challenge.

ps: Hoping to get 40 tonite, and (not)buy a horse with all of my erm,,35 silver, ha ah.

True, but you actually kind of proved my point in your post. You get jumped by two lower levels and you die... but when on the initiative, together with that opener, you did kick their asses.

Hmmm ofc! Hadn't really thought of that (silly me :/). But I take it that this is a problem all characters have. For melee more so than ranged, I would think.

Funcom did say that jumping around hitting stuff wouldn't get you anywhere, to a certain extent that's true, for you can't do combo's and jump (you can't macro it either) but you can ofc slap someone silly that way with single blows (melee classes). I'm not sure if that works against ranged classes as well, though.

I sincerely hope that Funcom finds a way to make that obnoxious jumping tactic that's so popular in WoW an inferior tactic... but who knows. Such things tend to be rather persistent.

On a sidenote, you said you were on a RP server... but how does one RP an apology to two freshly rezzed ppl after the fact you just killed them shortly after they killed you earlier? Did they apologize to you too?

On rare occasions ive started a combo, they have started to run off but it still connects even when they have been 5-10 mts away. Ive not really done enough to say whether or not Assassins have it easy or too hard in a straight up 1 v 1, but in stealth, and using mucho muchos cunning you can come out tops.
