Ruin and Vat, I've only managed to play with one of you once. Vataro and I did part of Act 1.
If you see me online, please chat, I'll play with you unless it's too late. I'm in GMT + 2 so it will probably be my evenings = your lunch times, so we might have an hour or so to play together.
Vataro, my Javazon is leveling up a bit on old quests, I haven't continued Act I's quests from last time we played, I'm just redoing some of the old ones (tower mostly). If you are ahead of me in quests, tell me and I'll catch up, and if not, I can still play without questing, at least to get more WPs.
Oh, and I also made a hardcore barbarian single player, I don't give him more than 2 play sessions to kick the bucket, Andariel will eat him alive.

I don't really play my assassin solo so she's still where we left off.
As for Hardcore, the only advice I can give you is to use scrolls of TP often, especially in boss fights. Escaping through one of those has saved my *** more times than I can count. Always open one up before you start a boss battle. It's even better if you have someone else there who can also open one, then you can use each others' portals and they'll never close.

Last night I had my worst experience on BNet, and after only 3 days playing on it.
Made a server, asking for help.
A few low levels join, and a lvl 43 barb joins to help us get through the Act I quests.
We got through most of em (didn't do the sorceress's tower) and after entering the catacombs level 2, a lvl 47 Assassin joins, and immediately goes hostile towards everyone.
I get taken down first, and then the other lower levels get killed, and the level 43 leaves because this 47 is holding up progress.
I also lost 10k gold after dying (as we were going so fast I didn't have time to stash it).
Guys name was IceTea, and Vat, if you have a high enough character and ever see him in a server, go kick his *** for me.
From now on I'm either going solo, or going to ask privately for help from people.
And it appears that quite a few people find it fun to kill people 40 levels lower than them.
Seems the weak *** gankers from WoW also have to gank lower levels on D2 to make themselves feel good.

Doubt I'll ever see him or would be able to kill him

That's another reason why I don't play in random games, too easy for stuff like that to happen. My advice would be to immediately open a portal and go to town, they can't hurt you there.

Back in the day I ran a Bonespear (think thats the ability) necromancer. Got it up to 88 before I quit. I like it a lot better then then spirit ability most Necros went with as I could hit multiple targets very fast (bone spirit).

I'd recommend playing the game at least once through normally before you min/max and get run through everything.
