The Goal this week is to get at least two other people to share their LoTRO weekend news....

I have to first preface my gaming weekend. One day last week I was hanging out in Annuminus with my Minstrel. I was in the little village, looking over quests, traits, chatting etc. I was closing windows, when yet another window popped up in my screen. I didn't even have time to read it before I apparently clicked out of it, and a timer started. Someone had challenged me to a duel and was already beating away on me.

Ok, let me just say "I DON'T PVP"!, but I couldn't figure out a way to get out of this duel. Anyway, half a minute into the fight I attempted to defend myself against this strange LM that felt compelled to slaughter a healer?????.

So, with that in mind, Friday night, not being in the festival mood, I logged in a Creep that I had rolled sometime awhile ago, but had not yet used.

I quickly had a blind raid invite staring at me, so I accepted. The raid filled up rapidly. There were freeps aplenty to battle with and Amarthiel showed up to join help with the slaugher. I had a blast. My warg went from 0 infamy to Rank 2.

It poured all weekend at my house, so Saturday's planned outdoor concert was a bust. We watched Sweeney Todd instead - interesting graphical portrayal of the musical. Afterwards, still having the taste for freep blood, I logged up my Warg again. Joined a raid again, but this time the raid leader was pretty much clueless and gave orders that kept getting us all killed. I didn't stay on long.

Sunday evening I logged in again, did the ring-lore quest and once again logged out my Minstrel and logged in my Warg. Quested for a bit, got some DP, bought a buncha stuff and joined a raid for awhile, died a whole bunch, but got to Rank 3.

What I learned about PvP Creep side;
- It's not always prudent to follow the orders of the raid leader.
- Freeps resist all my stuff, I resist none of theirs.
- I can see now why it's so easy to be successful against the mobs in PvE.
- There's more whining and ******** in OOC than I've ever seen anywhere.

Not sure how much use I'll get out on my wargy, but she has all my DP points invested in her now and her stealthness is kinda cool.

Oh, Saturday morning I did some festivally stuff - got the pie-eater title, failed at dancing, collected fireworks and got beat in a horse race.

How was your ME weekend? Anyone snag the hippy horse?

Friday I ran CD with the kin, we wiped on helchgam. I really wish Turbine would stop changing this fight.

Saturday I stalked Amarthiel all night. :D

And Sunday I did nothing.

And Creeps resist everything.

Friday: Ran CD with Mora and other kinsmen. I was the first to die at Helcham:) After that I logged my minstrel in and did the Tier 2 Woodworker quest, and finished Book 1 on him.

Saturday: Mostly worked on crafting during the afternoon. Logged out and took my kids outside for an archery session(they'll be little hunters in no time). Then we went to the neighbors pool. Logged in after the kids went to bed and ran my guardian in LL for bit. Picked up a level and half on him, and started Book 2.

Sunday: Never even got the chance to log in to run the Ringlore quests.

I did this fight last weekend. I'd not done it prior to bk. 14 so can't really compare, but we fought almost this entire battle ranged. I had to do alot of spot healing (continual target switching), but it never got out of hand.

We also took out two of the tangle-vine thingies from up above before ever jumping down. If you stand on the very edge you can get line of sight on them.

Still sucks when he roots you while the pillar is collapsing :(

Friday, did CD
Saturday, didn't do much. I think I spent most of the day doing PvP on my hunter. Ran Uru on my Captain.
Sunday, started the MM trolls deed for Valour... thank god Dot and I finished it up last night.

This weekend I finally hit GM Woodworker, got the festival horse, spent a lot of time fishing, had someone make (and crit!) my teal WW tools, and spent a lot of time being a fashionista pimping out my MIN.

Smiley: thumbsup
