Hello, thank you in advance for any answers to clarify my questions. I played SWg when it first launched, but just didnt get hooked enough to leave EQ at the time.

Recently I downloaded the 14 day trial to see how its changed and Im having fun, and might stick with the game for a while.

One problem Im having is with Armor and weapons. My character is only level 10...so I'm sure I wouldnt be looking for anything great for equipment in any case...but I was wondering if there were lower level armor sets to wear.
Or is the "outfit" I was given while choosing my profession adequate to carry me for awhile.

Are there any vendors like in other MMO's who sell basic quality things to keep you competitive until you level to the good stuff?

Also, is there a certain level I need to reach to equip armor at all? Seems everything I look at on the Bazaar terminals starts in the mid 20s for "required level", Ive seen nothing lower than mid 20s.

Thanks again for any help you can provide.

I think you need to be lvl 22 to wear armor. You can wear crafted clothing now with skill tapes attached that can be bought from players...It is pretty expensive though. My advice would be to find you a good guild that is recruiting and they will more than likely hook you up.

Thank you for the reply.

I guess Ill just grind away to 22 and see what I have for money at that time.

Thanks!

it doesnt take long to get to 22, as for crafted clothing, doesnt that have level requirements too, i havent done any tailoring for ages, but i do know that loot drops of clothing thats stat'd etc, usually has a level and sometimes a profession requirement too?
the level 22 armour that you get though, is almost universally poor, as in very poor, quality. do a galaxy wide vendor search and you will probably find better.

Again, I apologize for being new. I hear people talk about doing a "vendor search" rather than just looking through the Bazaar Terminal, and Im a bit unsure as to how to do a Vendor search.

I usually select this planet, and click on "armor" for instance, and see what comes up. Is there something else I should be doing that would give better results?

Thanks again for any info in advance.

should be, when you open teh bazaar, up in teh right is a vendor option or something, which is really similar to the bazaar option, only it searches poeples vendors instead.

Hehe what you are doing only tells you what is for sale on your planet at the public bazaar level ie below 20000 credits, if you want to see what is available server wide you need to do the following...

1) Go to the Bazaar Terminal and select "Vendor Location" (furthermost right of the top buttons).

2) Select the "Entire Galaxy" obviously you can select any of the other options in the "Location Filter" box.

3) Select the type of item you want from the "Object Type Filter" Box.

4) Scroll through the items until you have what you want and then hit the "Create Waypoint" button (remember the planet its on for yourself).

5) Go to the planet and activate the waypoint.
