GM ended up getting fired. Looks like it wasn't the first time this GM had done something like this. After all why would they set him up if not.

As the people in that thread had said, it is kind of odd that the screenshots are just bad enough quality that you cannot read them, and the poster has to transcribe them. How does the poster know what it says if that is the best quality SS he has? If he has better quality, why did he not post it? How does the poster have these SS? Was he involved? Something is just odd about this.

Funcom has confirmed that the GM in question no longer works for them. So something happened.

I can read them, though it is difficult. The GM just looked like he was joking around at first, but went a little bit too far.

I can read the screenshots just fine. He transcribed them since some people may not be able to read them, but I could read them.

I like how that one poster thought it was fake and the GM was joking. It doesn't matter his intent, but what was said.

Exactly. The fact that it was unprofessional at best, and borderline a lot of other things, means it was handled well by Funcom.

I really don't care how the poster got them. I care that Funcom went through their own logs, not depending on proof provided by players, but taking it into account - and took care of the issue.

The GM in question worked for Funcom in the states.

Funcom is also getting a lot of heat from players that never received their free month of play.

It looks like the original thread progressed much further than when I had seen it. No Funcom responses were to be found when I checked it out. I guess it's real then. When I looked at it, it was seemingly awfully suspicious, but maybe it is just the hyper-paranoia we have on the internet these days, and the speed at which we call fake.

highly unproffesional, but the player could have just taken it with good fun and left it at that and the world wouldnt be any worse off.

i am SO damn tempted to say this...so i will

Did the GM put on his wizard robe and hat?
