Home will definitely be out this year.
I think it looks pretty cool, should be fun to explore at least.

What's a "Home"? I read the article, but it didn't really provide much info about what the product actually was.
Do you have a PS3? You can download the video. It's kind of like a Second Life style world where you can meet other people on the PSN and get together to play games. Like in the demo vid, say you want to play Warhawk online. You can go to the Warhawk room online and meet other people and start a match that way.

Eh, another useless gimmick. I've spent too much time trying out new and "revolutionary" ways of doing things. This is just a hard to use server interface instead of a decent list of servers with adjoining chatrooms.
I don't know how people make these blanket assessments without having tried something, but whatever floats your boat

Wait a sec...didn't Sony use videos of PSN Home in some recent PS3 commercials (the ones with the rock song playing in them)? Could have sworn I saw that...
I'm not sure, we don't have cable TV and while our offering's over antenna are pretty good, I don't watch much TV anymore. I downloaded the Home theme from the PSN, if you do that then your name is added to the pool of potential beta candidates.
Oooo, nice, I may do that. But I was also looking at getting Yellow Dog, so that may be a red flag to be a beta tester

Eh, got consoles. I just don't like inefficient interfaces. Who knows, this might prove to be fun or useful, but not the way it looks right now. It's just a 3D chatroom, really. Allright, a 3D Chatworld then, but still not useful...
I'm excited for it, but I'll be the first to admit if it's not everything it's cracked up to be. They've spent a LOT of time on it and so I have high expectations.
