Does anyone know of any? Specifically any that are easy to use.

I've had success with ePSXe, but I've only tried playing FFIX on it, so idk how it is for other games. It's supposed to be pretty reliable, but as I understand PS1 emulators in general are hard to make.

Thanks, now I'll have some things to try and play when I move into my new apartment and be without internet for a month.

A psx emulator is more complicated than a snes one, you gotta get the bios and the configure the hell out of the codecs to work properly, hell i've spent ages trying to configure epsxe and I still have mild static issues during Vandal Hearts Cinematics.

If you downloaded ePSXe then you will need to also go find the PS1 BIOS. They can't and won't provide any links to it as it's technically Sony's property. Just Google SCPH0001.bin and you will find it.

You also may need to download some plug ins for it depending on the games you want to play. I've been able to play every game I own on it, I know it works but it takes some configuration.

I really wish they would come up with a working PS2 emulator, the only one I know of that is being worked on is still horribly slow, even with a fast PC.

Wint what plugins do you use for your emulator? I use P.E.Op.S for my video plugin and Eternal SPU for audio. It works well except that I get minor static during cut scenes.

Pete's are all good plugins.

This site: http://www.ngemu.com/psx/epsxe.php?action=plugins

Has all of them, and they have a rating scale that is pretty accurate.

Thanks, Although after going to the website, I find out that P.E.Op.S is basically the open source continuation of Pete's. I already have both, But I found out that P.E.Op.S played sound too fast. :(

Edit: Oh and I just noticed Eternal SPU plugin is the highest rated one, might as well download the latest version.

Edit: Edit: And I just noticed that I have the Latest Beta of Eternal SPU arrrrrrrgh!
