Eventually Lvl 50, but what now?Follow

#1 Sep 15 2008 at 4:38 AM Rating: Decent
Greetings, Stranger!

After many hard-fought battles and countless sleepless nights, finally level 50! -but what am I supposed to do next?
Yes, I can finish all the deeds I haven't completed yet, yes, I can hone my crafting skills to perfection, start hoarding money/items or complete all the quests I dodged before, but does it make any sense since I don't gain any XP anymore? its sort of boring...

I heard about raids and runs in Ettenmoor, CD, Uru and elsewhere, but how do I go about this?
Is there anybody who could provide some clues or advice regarding: 'A warrior's life beyond level 50'

Any guidance will be highly appreciated.

I would really reccomend joining a good active guild. All the rest sort of follows after that.

Good luck.

I went back and did a bunch of questlines I missed. Yeah, not much gain for most of it, unless the quests go towards a deed. Still, it was fun.

For character progression, you're pretty much limited to gaining traits and improving gear.

You can also try out the PvMP game for something different. That's how I'm currently getting my jollies from this game...or, start an alt. Everyone seems to have 3 or 4 level 50 characters.

The raids are fun and productive, though the groups I've managed to hook up with take things FAR too seriously for my likes. Not only can you snag some decent gear, but you really learn to utilize ALL those group type skills and abilities, as well as push your own character to it's limits.

To find groups and raids, I'd first check over on the LoTRO official forums, and go to the forum for your server. Your server may have an in-game channel specifically for pick-up raids or groups, or may have things organized elsewhere. As Paulsol mentions, might want to join a kin.

What server you on?
