I was just curious, how hard would it be to start up now that there is basically no low end population?
I had a level 10 or so SK on here at one point and I can't remember why I stopped playing. I just want to know if re starting would be toooooo bad.
I am an old eq player so I am used to grinds, I remember level51 on EQ taking almost a month to get through lol.

I really can't say how easy it is to get lvl's in EQOA because I will be joining the community hopefully in 30 days but I hear that it's not that hard to lvl and get groups as long as you choose CLW server.

Awesome, glad someone else will be new to it (for the most part) like me.
Having played EQ since 2000 I am super curious to see what the world is like 500 years before what I am used to.
I should be starting in a week or two, we should def. Group up when you get going.

So how hard is it to get help on CLW?
I really want to get into this but I don't wanna get going and have a **** load of hardships and what not.
What would be a good boxing combo?
I know in EQ I did monk and shm, is that still good?

Theres plenty of people on CLW, yes theres a low number of people at the low end of the game but once you get to around 40 it will be easy to find a group. Up to then groups are semi scarce but not rare.
And don't worry to much about slow grinding, with the xp boost boon of hagley it goes by 4 times as fast as it used to. Last night I grinded form 48-51 and I was nearly halfway to 52 by the time I went to bed. And this was from killing light blue to white phantoms.(forgot you weren't a eqoa player:the game labels mobs levels by color, green are very low, you receive no xp from killing, lightblue are very low also but withing like a fourth of your level, like at 60 45 would be light blue but anything below is green, Dark blue means 1,2 or 3 levels below your own, white is same level as you, yellow is 1 or 2 above you and red is 3 or more above you)

As for asking for help just find a active guild and I's sure ou would find people to help you.

Hah I remember back when LB mobs first came around, it astonished people, never made a difference for me.
It sounds like leveling won't be so bad.

Just I am curious, what's a good double box combo? Like I said I remember doing the SHM and MNK combo on old EQ. Is that a good combo on here?

I suppose for a grind group a monk could be the tank, most people who db in grinds go a tank and a healer, really any class can tank so a healer and some DD or tank would work out. Some people DB 2 petters and that pisses me off, cause guaranteed one will not be nuking and usually the *** is afking the other one to... But as far as soloing goes anything and a petter would work.

Hey zickgraf I'll be playing again after a long break from eqoa. I'll send you a tell when I get on in a couple of days. EQOA is amazing and I miss it so much, As far as boxing goes i'm gonna be tri-boxing and maybe quad boxin. My favorite combo on ferrans hope is doing my 60 enchanter i went spellbinder on and my 60 cleric i went faithful. Just get killer xp runnin those two together, starting though I'd hit up a petter and a healer for sure. But really up to your preferences. Alchemist though is funnest class I've ever played on any game.
