Well, I'm hoping I stick with the Warden I made (currently a hair's breath from level 8). I've not yet found the desire to level any other pve character besides my Minstrel.

But, so far so good. I'm enjoying the class. Though it's still early. The gambits are an interesting way to provide some variety to battle without clogging up 2-3 rows of slots. I love giving mobs the 'boot' :D

I'm thinking though, I'm gonna twink her out a bit.

Any recommendations on attributes to beef up with gear and/or traits?

How about specific pieces of gear that are easily attainable?

Are crafters now learning recipes for spears?

Any other warden advice?

Woodworkers have recipes for spears already. I think metalsmiths can get recipes for Warden Shields. Tailors for the rest.

Hmm, I don't honestly know, to be 100% truthful. There aren't many good low-level spears, from what I remember. But they may have modified some lower level quests to have decent spears. Aside, you can still use swords, from what I remember, and other one-handed weapons.

WTB two-handed spears...

Mine is currently level 11.

I made some level 10 crit medium leather gear and some copper jewelry. A few items didn't crit but I figure to replace them at level 16 or wherever the next jump is.

I made both a Rowan Spear and Javelin. Javelin is nice dps compared to level quest rewards. The crit armor has a much higher armor rating than any quest rewards at that level too. Woodworkers have Javelin recipes in their menus now.

I have not looked into making a shield yet. I am using one of the shire quest rewards. It is a warden shield.

For level 35 I plan to make some of those tailor rep armors (lowest ones being for level 35).

I am still getting the hang of the gambits. I like to start with the defense-defense one to get my block buffed, or when finishing one mob when two are on me. I also like the flourish one (don't remember the combo offhand).

I really like ambush/critical.

As for traits, I have just a few +1 virtues from explorer traits. I am guessing +Armor value is going to be worth something though (Empathy?).

My might is still red at 36. I may look to boost might.

I have 7 gambits right now at level 9. That's only from a mix of three skills. While some are obvious in what they'll do (the doubles), others not so much. I think I'm reaching the saturation point of how many I can remember. I'm afraid I'll not recall the less frequently used combos when the opportune time does come along.

I might need a cheat sheet.

You're a hobbit, Dot. Just grind out the 50 spiders for the +20 might racial deed.

Aye done! Also Hendrovail in Erud Luin and Wolves in The Shire (Discipline). Working on Sickle Flies in Breeland at the moment. Might is shored up!

I am not sure but my Will is seemingly low now...

Currently at level 18 (not dead yet either!)

You get triple gambits starting at level 16. Lots of DoTs and HoTs with the gambits too. Yeah they are very low numbers-wise, but if you keep applying they make a difference.

Back to virtues, Patience seems very easy to get at the lower levels, so I am using it (-%melee damage being the best of it). I have Patience 4, Disc 2, Empathy 2, and Wisdom 1 slotted with Hobbit Might (race) and Veteran (class, level 15 class-quest reward). I have none of the other class traits earned yet (but am close).

I am playing mostly solo and you can handle up to 3 and even 4 mobs (if not too high). Very much a fun class.

Well the Warden WAS feeling rather godish, but at level 24 that is starting to ebb a bit. She's still a force though. Im dreading the 4 and 5 skill combos I know are coming.

I've not been terribly satisfied with my grouping experience. Not sure what my role is when there is a 'real' tank, and I've had a hard time keeping agro off hunters. No one will ever wait for my ambush to go off (specially hunters with their speady arrows) so I lose that initial tag-agro. Maybe I'd be better off to just pull with the regular javelin toss, but I like the advantage the ambush gives me??

Well, I got my Warden to 15 this weekend, and it's great. I just love the feel of the class. To me it's a mix between a Ranger and a Hoplite... Just love it.

The 15 class quest gives you a nice shield with 218 armor, 5 might and 5 agility.

I got my last 2 combo gambits, and am going to get a 3 combo here in a few levels. I do have all my 2 combos memorized, but we'll see how it is when I start to get 3,4 and 5 combos.

As for spears and javelins, just have guildies and/or your main craft them. There aren't TOO many quest reward spears or javelins, but the crafted ones are nice.

I think as a Warden, you're going to want to beef up might and agility while leveling (duh).

the good thing about the gambits as you get higher is they are all in familiar sequences so not as hard to remember as you think.
