OK - I'm 35 with 1 Gold. I'm open to suggestions... Best place to collect gold?

I normally got enough pocket change just selling my loot from clearing for random quests. In the North Downs, you can easily get the gold you need without much trouble... I grind out my deeds as I go on certain classes, and ND deeds left me with a rather large pool of money before my horse... on my Guardian, I had something like 5 gold before I bought my horse.

The answer to this is almost always the same regardless of level or zone. Hunt down white or yellow two legged mobs and grind them out till your bags are full then rinse and repeat!

Two legged mobs not only drop trash worth a silver or two per unit but also yellow & even purple armor drops but most important... CASH!!!

Forget killing boar and bear... ignore the wolves and spiders... find a good spot, hunker down and kill some long pig!

Well, the hides that bear, boar and wolves drop do sell pretty well in the AH, so I usually kill them too:)

I made much of my early money by selling recipes in the AH. Most all the lower level ones sold for 20s-25s. Once I was up to master recipes sales dropped off considerably. I also AH'd many of the trade skill material drops I'd collect.

As others mentioned hides sell well. I just sold a 50-stack of light hides for 200s. It was under-priced and flew off the shelves.

I had no problem financing my first horse when 35 rolled around.

I dont get how you can't accumulate money. I have a brand new toon level 29 with 4.6gp from doing not much more than selling a few stacks of wood and light/medium hides. I am usually solo and loot everything though. Work on a few slayer deeds and you will have enough cash for all your needs (skills, horse, house even).

I even sent stacks of mats to alts to make my armor/weapons/jewelry and have leveled up farming and woodworking.

A: Loot everything while you have space. Empty bags frequently.

B: Sell hides and any other crafting materials you can harvest and do not need in the AH.

C: Do not buy anything aside from skills and repairs and perhaps vendor potions and traveling rations. Quest reward gear is plenty good enough if you do not know any GM crafters. I also splurge on horse rides from time to time.

Edit: Update I hit 35 with 6.5gp, bought a horse and my stash is back up around 3gp at level 36. (would be more cept I keep getting defeated :()
