What's the population like?Follow

I use to play SWG from 2003 all the way up to 2005 when released the NGE. Hows the population and has SOE improved the game? I use to play on Kauri.

My understanding (and I could be wrong) is that Kauri was hit pretty badly by the population exodus and as with many of the servers is probably just ticking over in terms of the player base.

However there is some light on the horizon in that they will be doing free server transfers early in the new year which I tend to believe will lead to a condensing of the servers later in the year so hopefully within a year we may see more life on less servers.

There are 3 or 4 servers out there which have heavy populations and with some dedication it takes around a week to go from level 0 to 90.

In terms of the game itself in my opinion it has improved but this is a standard that can only be judged by the players individually so my best suggestion would be to either make use of one of their free months when they run them (update the info in your SOE account to get notifications of them) or use a trial account to see if you like it and what servers suit you.
