I am thinking about returning to SWG, but before I install/patch/subscribe I would like to know, if it has been made possible to have more than one character per server?

Indeed, you can have two characters per server and 3 if you had a Jedi pre-NGE.
Personally I would have liked a total of 3 characters for everyone but 2 helps a lot.

Personally I cannot see why more could not be allowed, but well knowing the SOE crew they are way to much into the RP parts and makes the limitation because of that.
But ok 2 is enough for me to give it a try again.

hehe I was thinking about it and initially I thought 3 so I could have combat/trader and entertainer toons but then I looked at how I play and really I would have wanted a couple of combat toons and one of every crafter type and I discovered that to make me happy they would have needed about 20 character slots which really just got ridiculous.
I guess this way I do have to interact with others for my gaming needs which to a large degree is the purpose of MMO's so yeah 2 will do.
