Hi im really new to this game( got it today) and i have a lvl 11 jedi Zabbath right now.
Few questions: when do i get a lightsaber? ive been runnin around w/ all sorts of weapons but no sabers lol.
Also, im just following a long quest line in Mos Eisley. is that smart or should i venture out?
And my biggest confusion is whats the deal with the professions like brawler, swordsman, etc.... is there more to makin a char than just chosin race and like jedi/comando/spy?
And also was wonderin if i could get a few pointers on the lite/dark paths for jedi and what are wise skills to invest my expertise points into?

if anyone could answer any of these questions it would really help me out! thanks!

I can't tell you anything about Jedi as I have never made one but I can tell you that you should continue with the Legacy Quest (which is the quest line you are doing) but you should also do 10 missions from Mission terminals as you get an experience bonus for the first 10 and at level 25 or so you should start the first mission on Kashyyyk as well as continuing the Legacy quests.

I am sure other will give you good pointers on the Jedi class.

I can swear it's 26...

That 'long' quest line is just the beginning of the series known at 'The Legacy' which was introduced long ago as in to immerse yourself as in becoming 'famous' in SWG lore.

Unfortunately, it doesn't end there. It goes on to Naboo, Corellia, and Talus.
This entire process may take up to a month if you're playing 'casually'. However, the upside that it makes you understand the basic fundamentals of your profession and of the game.

The pros can be that it can leave you with a good set amount of credits and may get you around level 50ish. If you completed everything (including the small sidequests)

The con is just that it's time consuming and not very friend since certain parts of the series involves space combat which can be confusing to a new player.

Allakhazam's site is left untouched by the database back when Star Wars Galaxies was a different type of game. (Rather not go into details as things tend to get nasty around here)

..and no, there's nothing more to SWG as making your avatar > choosing a profession > make it 90 > and whatever activities you may have/want.

The Light/Dark Paths of the Jedi expertise gears towards what you want. Light Side deals with Defense/Healing while Dark marks with Offense/Debuffs.

It is highly suggestive that you pick one side and stick with it, as trying to points in both trees hinders the performance.
