Want to leave WoW, but not quite ready to fork over the cashFollow

I was wondering if someone could email me a referral... I'd really appreciate being able to try this game because it sounds GREAT

mrmeanguy@msn.com is my email

The free trial offer from Tribune will probably start up again soon. They're probably just waiting for the dust from releasing the new expansion to settle before they open up the gates again.

You're probably right, but when I'm not playing MMO's I play FPS's, and those can only amuse for so long. Playing them for an extended period of time really burns me out, so there's a whole in my schedule where MMO gaming was, and I'm trying to fill it a.s.a.p.

I've changed my mind, the player community seems either unfriendly, or so absorbed in their own business that they wouldn't spare five minutes to help someone out... I've got more to say, but I'm sure you'll understand how I feel when my time is better spent elsewhere.

I wholeheartedly agree with you that your time is better spent elsewhere but for an entirely different reason.

If you are interested enough to want to play for free but disinterested enough to be willing to either wait for the free offer to be resumed or actually pay for your own entertainment then this game can well do without your attendance.

Enjoy WoW or your next ego-shooter. Either environment is well suited to impatient children.

I love how every person who wants a buddy referral always tries to pull the guilt card...it really isn't working.

Haha, you guys aren't going to believe this but that third post was my lil bro, reluctant as the rest of my guild to let a shaman healer go. Honestly, I've started writing again so I can only check back once every day... although the whole calling me/my bro an impatient child thing was a little harsh. I'd argue further on the topic but honestly the last thing I want to do is **** off the people I'm asking for help.

/em hands Winkers a fork...

People coming to this board wanting handouts will never likely be greeted with open arms. To expect otherwise is either naive or moronic.

If you want help with the game, this board is great. Most people here have ponied up for the game and will always be sceptical of anyone who is not willing to do the same. If you want free stuff, be patient as OBD says.

Harsh or not it was well deserved...

I suspect if you send an email, to Turbine, requesting a free trial, they will be more then happy to assist you.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but doesn't the game come with 30 day free trial anyway? Granted yes, you have to go buy a copy of the game but I've seen it around quite cheap recently, especially in the sales.
