bloodfin or bria? Follow

#1 Jan 12 2009 at 5:05 PM Rating: Decent
so yea.. i finally get to get outta valcyn tommorow.. cant wait. not that valcyn sux, but yea anyway..

can anyone help me decide,.. bloodfin or bria?

i don;t care if the servers are "rude" there is always more room on my ignore list

is bria, or bloodfin a better choice, i'm looking for a real population, and lots of pvp- i don't care if its 10vs10 or 50vs50, just as long as factional pvp can be found within 2 hours, space DS pvp a plus, (no starsider for me tho)

i have never witnessed a REAL guildwar and have been pvping since 2005, i started in 2003,

(well there was some guild war i was in but they were all not level 90 and i was a level 90 fighting level 50s, and 20s, i think their guild leader was lev 75 or something jedi before expertise, plus i had stealth, so yea it was a war that did not last 4 very long..)

restuss is fine, pr i like to hold down the faction bases for stims, but prefer to do it with others, AKA gaurd duty shifts..

mos eisly pvp is the funnest. reading some cantina chatter is a plus while waiting for the next player bar brawl to erupt.. does this ever happen on bria.. or bloodfin...?

thnk u

and
have fun,,

I would be leaning toward Bria given the criteria you have mentioned.

But take a day or two make a throw away character on both servers an see how it goes.

well the deciding factor for me was Bria was distanced as a 1 to me and bloodfin a 2, so i went with bria as its closer.

its hard to describe what it feels like to transfer after SOOO long of playing on a very light server. it almost feels like playing the game for the first time again, except you have all this cool stuff and are not just starting out, but at the same time it all feels so new and alive. i stepped into mos eisley and was like wow this is crazy cool. its like playing runescape expect not as gai.

its been over two years since i've seen this many players, maybe more.

i love it. i still managed to find my old areas by rebel out post rori and jabbas palace to place a house, it took a while to find a spot and i had to move 300-400m farther out then i'd like to but thats a minor detail for me, i feel for those who want to build cities but i'm sure things will work out in time for them.

the only thing is is i couldnt find any pvp because everyones imperial including me. i saw one rebel go by me on his speeder in restuss but i didnt blow his bike i felt bad for him he had like 5 jedi and 3 commandos chasing him.

i saw some excellent rebel pvpers taking down some with them when they wer being ganked squadded

i hope the pvp situation evens out on bria but if i really have to i'll go back to rebel.. i really like my imperial comm unit tho and thinking of grinding for that again is not fun cause i grinded most of GCW for it in space which was a chore kind of

well, any mmo lives or dies by its community, or lack of it, so consolidating the playerbase, and i guess, next step is server closing to reduce the number of active servers, i think its likely that the 'big 5' will in future receive the most attention, in terms of upgrading things. so hopefully the lag thats unfortunately been prevalent will be addressed.

i was experiencing the lag of Bria when a PvP of 10 or more players happened and FPS would drop to 0-10fps. it was awful. but then i realized i had field of view all the way up, I turned it down all the way and put everything on low detail, turned the particle limit way down to 250, just enough to see where an AoE is at, i also disabled all kinds of graphic options before launching the game i clicked on game options, and lowered all the graphic details there, now it runs very smooth. and get about 20 FPS even during big PvP battles.

it looks like the factions are balancing out some, there still alot of imps but last night there were large groups of rebels in restuss.
