I'll keep this short and sweet: what's yours? What's that one sleeper hit you just can't get out of your head?

My vote is for SaGa Frontier II for PS1. The artwork combined with an awesome story to give the game a truly unique feel. The battle system kicked ***- nice and difficult. And I still can't get the theme song out of my head!

Qualifier: Xenogears was NOT a sleeper hit. :D

i think both saga frontiers were pretty underrated, along with most of the suikoden games.

Suikoden WAS underrated, but after 3 came it's popularity sky rocketed.

I agree with SaGa Frontier (Asellus > all) and add Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter to the list. All the BoF fans hated it because it was so incredibly different from the first our games, but taken on it's own Dragon Quarter was absolutely amazing.

I'll have to try Dragon Quarter out. Half of the reason I made this thread was to learn about some good games I've never even played. XD

Marvel VS. Capcom 2 (Dreamcast)

X-Com UFO Defense (PSN)

Crackdown (360) - Not so much a sleeper since it game with the Halo 3 beta key. Still good for a bit of sandbox play

Metal Slug Anthology (Any console you can get a multi game pack for: Wii, PS2, PSP)-Wii version is a good place to start- Metal Slug, 2, X, 3, 4, 5, 6.

No More Heroes (Wii)

I was unaware of this. Thank you for giving me something to do on patch/maintenance days. Smiley: nod

I don't know if it came out in the past 10 years but I think it did. Its called Nox and it was a old PC game that played along the lines of Diablo 2. Had a crackerass story where you lived in a trailer park in Alabama and you got sucked into this medieval world as the great hero or something. Anyways there was 3 ways to play the game you could be a Conjuror, Warrior, or Wizard. Only bad thing was the Item Decay in this game was way to fast. By the end of the game I was always running around in my underwear to kill the boss lol.

Fun game though and relatively unheard of.

Sim Earth.

Forget the petty small scale of cities. Design a whole planet from scratch, and evolve your chosen species!
