I've been seeing more and more of them lately. These "Personal Trainer" games. I just recently got "Personal Trainer: Math" and it's actually kind of fun, but at the same time it's actually productive
Math is my absolute worst subject, so I figured before I started taking classes again I'd brush up a bit on math seeing how I'm required to take a preparatory math class here in order to move on to some of the ones I want to take because I failed a placement test of some sort when I started years ago.
I was actually kind of disappointed with it because I was expecting it to include all the complicated algebra type stuff I've been struggling with my whole life. (I could learn something one year and have completely forgotten it by the next.) It's all basic math, but I still feel that it helps... I did simple math problems at a fast pace for a few hours non stop-- and now my brain feels like it is going to throw up.
My only gripe with it is how the game will not recognize the numbers you draw unless you draw them in a very particular way. This is especially a problem with "4" and "8" and gets really annoying when you're trying to beat the clock.
I've heard there were even games like this that teach you to cook. I am curious.
