Picked it up on my way home from work today and I ahve to say im blown away. The game is rock solid. Ive been playing fighters ever sinc Street Fighter 1 and I have to say this is one of the best there is right now.
The 3d art grows on you and becomes wonderful. The animations are super fluid and the hit detection is spot on. The opening sequence for the game is something made of HD BAD ASSNESS.
The game is really designed for new comers to pickup while playing to veterans. Really you jsut need to play it for yourself.

Just too many Street Fighter games out there. I played the hell out of Street Fighter 2 for sega genesis. Every other one I have played since then felt like the same game with a few added extras that I didn't really care about.

Hopefully they will put a demo up at some point, even if it just has Ken and Ryu with 1 stage.

Its out trust me. Go swing by your local walmart/gamestop/whatever and it will be there.
Good way to check if a popular game is out is to drive past a Blockbuster and see if there are "Rent Now" ads all over the windows.

No Blockbusters where I live. Not that I have the time or money to get this anyway (or a system to play it on for that matter). Eventually though I will have to get it

I never could get into the SF games. I just don't like the half moon control scheme, it gets hard on the old thumbs fast.
Thats why u get a real controller thats like the arcade with the knob.
Heh... I read some article about the developers being surprised that C. Viper wasn't more liked when they showed the game at some trade show, saying she had been created with lots of public input. Apparently they missed the fact that she, unlike Chun Li, looks like a dude.

The PC release for SF4 is in June, the console versions came out the 17th. I haven't gotten ahold of it yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
I'd like to get it as well, though I've lost a step playing fighting games. Ziervaar, I understand the reason why, Viper is an incredibly cheap character when played by the CPU. Other than that it seems to be a pretty rock solid game.

I would just like to say that that comic was me last night on Hard setting on Seth... How can that damn move that uppercuts you and then he catches you in the air and slams you interrupt EVERYTHING?! No matter what I'm doing, he does it and it succeeds without failure, and he spams it. (Also, this, with Abel and his throw)
I almost killed a baby last night.
