Looking for Eve writersFollow

#1 Feb 18 2009 at 2:10 AM Rating: Good
I am in the design-phase of producing a regular Eve publication that will be available for free via download.

I am looking to secure the writing contributions of Eve community writers and players alike; I am also looking to include news and discussions from individual corporations and alliances.

The publication will contain news, articles, guides, tips and everything about Eve – it will aim to be a quality publication covering an in-depth look at our game for players new and old.

At this time, I am seeking additional support from Eve players who feel they can make a valued contribution. Your efforts will be accredited to you of course and if the publication does make an income through future advertising, I would be looking to distribute any proceeds back to those whose efforts have helped to make it the success I hope it to be.

I realise that there are a number of such publications already available and I intend to market on the basis of quality and reader appeal.

If you think you can offer something from the list below, please message JANNAKI in game so that we can make contact and discuss the matter further.

I am looking for people to:-

• Write guides on any Eve subject – anything more than a couple of pages will be serialised across a number of issues, so there is no limit – quality and accuracy are the key.

• Represent corporations or alliances, contributing news and information about your group.

• Talk about life and experiences in Eve – mining, 0.0, PvP, ganking, missions, fleet battles – tell us your real experiences in exciting detail.

• Promote discussion through letters, questions and issues raised.

• Tell us what it takes to be successful at certain aspects of Eve – what works and what does not e.g. what makes a good corporation CEO?

• Any tips about how to improve game-play.

• Agree to be a regular Eve reporter about a particular non-empire region, or about other possible matters requiring updates.

• Anything else you can think of that other players may like to hear about.

The publication will also contain adverts for corporations, alliances or events – please get in touch if you would be interested in any of this.

This is a serious project and the assistance of those most qualified to help will be much appreciated.

Thanks.

Hello,

I am Vacantghost AKA HeroicTragedy, representing the Battojutsu caste, free lance mercenaries and miners. Our corporation would like to share the current news within the 0.0, approached both as an individual and the coporation itself.

Ever since the coming of August, BJC (battojutsu caste) have been expanding at a rapid pace, and as the military head of BJC, i am quite proud of this. We have a section comprised of the finest and most dedicated miners in the area (10 jumps surrounding Jita) Our financials are excellent and within a couple of months, i have got access to our corporations first Titan, the Calderi leviathan. The titan itself brought hope and motivation, and with it, we aimed to further our mining operations targeting for 0.0. With a strong security and military presence, our operations in the null sector were relatively secure, occasionally encountering some foreign miners/pirates. With the relatively peaceful environment we had in 0.0, we took the time to set up a base of operations, defensive manuevers and chech points where our security took their turns to watch the area. The peace in 0.0 was kept for no longer than a week, when an unknown corporation brought what is estimated by the military board of the BJC to be around 300 + frigates along with battleships and freighters. The attack was sudden and out of the blue, we had to seize operations immediately and evacuate the area without incident. While routing, we executed the security protocals as practiced, where our fighting squadrons would form a defensive perimeter whilst the miners form a convoy, leading them to safety. But what was unknown to us was that the attack carried out was part of a joint operation, 2 other corporations cut us off and the entire crew of BJC's Inter-Galactic Maritime Expeditionary Force (IMF) was wiped out, the survivors podded and ganked.

We took the attack as a declaration of war and the board of directors, our CEO (name covered for security purposes) sent in a notification with the order; To mobolise all military pilots within the next 3 days. We carried out the order, and by the deadline, we had 450 and around pilots in full capacity with battleships, frigates and our prized Leviathan titan. Our tactical advisory predicted that the ones who attacked us were all part of a criminal/pirating alliance and we're told to expect an ambush and that our base of operations would be jacked. I, as the head of military operations ordered pre-emptive measures to be taken and we sent 100 frigates led by 2 capital ships into the null sector for scouting purposes. The capital ships were to report the situation back to main fleet, whether or not it's reasonable to deploy. 10 minutes in, our pre-emptive strike force encountered the 'yellow jacket' corporation and engaged. We recieved the distress call and warped into action.

After we routed the 'yellow jackets,' the biggest challenge of the BJC began. What followed was a series of battle our Board of Directors would later call, 'Null Incident.' A campaign. Our forces steadily advanced while crushing the opposing corporation's (name unknown) navy. Over 4 days, we managed to retake almost everything with light casualties. The experience was enticing, and i believe our navy and the corporation itself had adrenaline running through the whole time.

Campagin ended - August 3, 2009.

Our tactical advisory and head of Inter-Corp relations decided to create an alliance with corporations that carry the same ideals we do and formed a player driven union with a private market of weaponary/ships/blueprints/books etc. The Anetone Goons quasi-oligopoly.

those were real in-game events, the campaign wasn't big enough to make EVE's BBS but was still quite an impressive event for our PMC.
