I'm sure this has been covered but I haven't found the answer yet so I apologize if this question has been answered before.

I'm a SWG vet considering a return to SWG. The main issue I have with the game right now is the over-the-shoulder viewpoint they changed with NGE. Is this still an issue and, if so, does the player have the option to play in standard 3rd person view as in other MMO's?

I think the camera angle is configurable now and you can zoom in and out to any view you like as well as shutting off the "over the shoulder" view and have a 360 degree roaming view.

So I think the answer to your question is yes you can have a standard 3rd person view.

Check in the options under the MISC. button.....possibly Graphics. I believe you can set the camera angle there as well as zooming in and out with the scoll wheel.
