Lvl 90 Jedi can't take on lvl90 (gold) elitesFollow

Hi, old time pikeman here who leveled up to Jedi after a two year layoff. I have all my holocrons and meditate abilities, a Jedi Knight robe, a good kinetic and energy buff with a mean acid cryo-lance with 1186 DPS. I chose the general path. With that said, why is it that I can't beat a level 80 or higher double bracketed (gold)elites??? I.E. Jedi masters on Dantooine, Krayt Dragons, or even Sansi the Kursk who is lvl 80. Lvl 90 single bracket elites are just about my limit. I have tried different crystals in my light sabers but they are no where near as strong as my lance. I know it can be done because I've watched people do it. What am I doing wrong.

I believe that it was in Chpt6 or 7 they beefed up all the NPC's. Krayt are extremely hard to solo...not that it can't be done. It's just very hard. All other golds are they same way. When you target them even the name plate or whatever they call it looks different. Take your beat down and go get a friend. two of you no problems....alone.....you better really know how to play your class to solo those. Go up into night sister land....you will more groups that a solo toon now. Most Jedi I see go to on Krayt hunting still take a group....I just went on one at the begining of the week. I was going to the near by cloning chamber less than the jedi....but I wasn't running up and hitting the big lizards with a glowing stick....I was the only lower level toon there 7 90's and 1 70(me). We dealt alot of damage....every 3rd Krayt sent 2 to 3 of us to the cloning chamber. Specially the ancients. So it's not totally you....you may need to upgrade gear and get very used to using macros, maybe even brush up on combat techniques. I hope this helps...have fun.

Before I left for a while, I used a general temp that was major defensive and, with proper action management, I outlasted pretty much everything with Jedi Master cloack + Jinzu Razor. I'm assuming you want the pike for nostalgia, so this temp should work fine so long as your weapon damage is decent (the template idea is too outlast whatever it is you are fighting).

I'm pretty sure this is the template, I may be off by a few points. Just to give an idea of what I could do, I could solo TWO Super Battle Droids without running or cloaking (the ones in the droid factory that a gold 88's or whatever), and I could fight an Elder Jedi and survive (the guy force ran off when some back up came, he might have outlasted me merely because he was an elder).
