I downloaded the 14 day trial game and i was having a blast. but im having a problem with the game when i try to start it up and try to log onto my account.
Just so you guys know how this goes ill give you the step by step on how i start up eve.
1. Double left click on the eve shortcut
2. At this point the title screen pops up for a few seconds and then disappears.
In my toolbar eve is running but its like i've hit the minimize button on the eve window but cant get it to re-maximize. Also i can hear the BGM music playing. I've tried playing the safe mode option on eve but the same thing happens and i cant log in. Is anyone else experiencing this problem or has been able to fix it? And if your thinking maybe the trial period has ended i can tell you no it has not because i've only had it for about 5 days now. Please get back to me i really do like Eve as an alternative to FFXI, but i dont want to go buy the game and have the same problem.

The server cluster goes down every day for 30 mins to an hour. If you try to launch the game during that time your problem might happen. Most times it tells you tranq is unavailable. If you know that the server is up and it is still doing the same thing it's either your GPU crapping out due to resolution problems, or your EVE file is corrupted.

With the resolution problem, if you can remember the last resolution that you played EVE in set your desktop resolution to that and then relaunch the game. I know I had the same problem when I had EVE setup to run at 1680 and then switched to a 1280 monitor to use my widescreen for a PS3.

Reinstalling EVE isn't that painful though if you do need to go that route.
