Still stuck in Iraq, bought a 360 before I came over and have been devouring games at a right nice clip. Had no clue what games to get, so I consulted a list of highest rated 360 games and basically bought the top 10. Have since bought more due to beating most of them. Anyway...
The last racing game I played was Need for Speed: Most Wanted, which I loved. I don't have any racers now, and am hankering to play one. I am looking for something that has lots of customization options for the cars, I likes to play dress up!
Anyone played the Need for Speed: Carbon or Pro Street games? If so are they any good? If there aren't any out there, I will probably just buy Most Wanted and play it again. This time on the 360 since the last one I played was regular xbox.
I will leave you with a few brief reviews, most of these games have been out for years, but I was late getting into the game with them.
Gears of War - The stories are true, it rocks, I am about to start playing Gears 2 as it just arrived in my mail yesterday.
GTA4 - Haven't finished it yet, but Rockstar has kept up their name with this one, the storyline is great, poor immigrant makes it rich as a gangster type.
Ninja Gaiden 2 - Mindless hack, slash, combos galore and blood everywhere. The first Ninja Gaiden had no difficulty setting, and it was pretty tough at times, this one has a few settings, which should keep a wider audience happy.
Bioshock - Working on this one now as well, it is a fun game, but something about it fails to reach out and grab me like some games tend to. I am probably biased as I don't like shooters with stories for the most part. The story on this one is pretty badass though.
Rainbow Six Vegas - Standard fare for the series, I will say the AI of your team mates seems to have improved dramatically from some of the past games I have played in the series. Some frustrating points where the difficulty seems to be a tad high means repeated loading of saved games to pull it off. If you haven't played it, just remember Dante's Theater and the Dam fights.
Guitar Hero Metallica - What all of us GH fanatics have been waiting for, a GH game with LOADS of Metallica! The difficulty ramps up extremely fast, you may be ripping out some 5 star scores on expert difficulty for the first few sets, but by the time you get to the end, it will make you feel like a *****. Frantic GH button mashing at it's finest. I torture my room mate with repeated playings of Enter Sandman, one of my favorite songs.
Have a number of other GH games as well, I'm leaving the Army to go pro when I get back from Iraq
Assassin's Creed - After the initial "Whoa this is awesome" wears off, it gets old quickly. The same missions over and over ad nauseum. Gorgeous game though, and fun because you can climb on EVERYTHING. I didn't bother finding all of the flags because I got sick of playing it, I did track down all the Templars though, murder by stealth is always a good time.
Call of Duty 4 - I usually skip modern day shooters, I do that crap for a living, I play video games to escape from all of that. CoD4 is excellent though, great game.
Infinite Undiscoery - Started it up, played for half an hour, haven't tried again as I didn't like the combat system. Where is my turned based combat in my Square RPG?
I'm off to play Braid for now.
Now, how about that racer?
