Expertise question and some grumblingFollow

#1 Jun 30 2009 at 12:25 PM Rating: Decent
I put some point in beast mastery, all excited about being able to incubate, train and eventually make creatures into mounts; but that was before I found out how much the incubators themselves were going for on the server. I've always thought the feature at the auction house was a bit wonky anyways but I couldnt find any incubators, I had to do galaxy wide in vendors and they were going for 4 million each. That's ridiculous!! I'm a returning vet since my account has been activated was really excited to play again but now all the old annoying things about swg are just irking me. So can you redo the expertise points or I am going to have to reroll my commando? Another thing that's been bugging me...what's the difference between set target and set intended target? I want to be able to fire my grenades from the action bar and not have to mouse over my target every freaking time. I have carpal tunnel and I love how soe wants you to click your mouse like mad to be able to participate in combat. My Jedi is just pathetic. I got owned by a level 50 and I'm a level 70 something.

Ok:
1) If you contact a Structures Trader chances are you can get a good incubator (probably not capped) for 100-200k.

2) You don't have to reroll your toon you can change your profession and expertise separately by talking to the professions councilor just outside the starport at Mos Eisley.

3) The reason you got owned by a level 50 is many fold:
a) They have done a complete weapons revamp so chances are you may have to upgrade your weapon.
b) You were possibly fighting an elite mob and not an ordinary one.

4) You can action your combat abilities from your keyboard if you dont want to press your mouse a lot and don't forget to turn on your autofire option "press Y" to reduce the mouse clicking.

I love how people jump all over companies when all they have to do is look around in the options to change the combat to pretty much teh same way it was before.

the autofire/autoaim function was restored quite a long time ago i think, as already said if you press y all you have to do is doubleclick the target, the cursor itself should turn into a circle when your in that mode too, and yes, you just press the button for the 'specials' im not all that interested in the combat personally, but its no better or worse than it was before imo, at the moment im just relearning weaponsmithing..im already level 90 trader but there have been a few changes, which means i have to relearn how to make things... :/

I really love Weapon Smith but I am completely out of some resources and nothing decent has spawned in ages so for the most part I cant make anything these days.

With very few exceptions you should be able to make weapons about 200dps higher than the corresponding quest one.

Weapons over combat level 74 (I think, or close to it) can use Advanced Cores.

At that point crafted weapons become better than quest/looted.

Just go into your "options" menu Earthboundmother and you will be able to set up your game controls in about any manner you wish. Hot buttons, mouse clicks, macros, however you like to play the game. I am glad to see you back in the game! Welcome back!
