Have you tried searching for a video of the english ending on youtube?

I did. I got the transcript, and I should also add that I turned it off before the final final cutscenes (with subs), and watched it again.
The ending is happier than I thought it was, but still makes no sense.
I should also (also) add, that I left out another awesome thing about the game. The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen in my life. The detail and color injected directly into every aspect of the world is just astounding, and the style and dress and appearance of each character is well thought out and both detailed and pertinent to their respective characters.
Super for Real This Time Final Score: 6.8/10 Good game, some nice elements, nonsense story, happy, but unsatisfying ending.

I'm sorry, but I gave up English dubbing for lent. Even if the voices are half way decent in a role playing game, you're still forced into listening to their battle yelps and screams every two seconds, and no matter how good their normal talking voice may be they seem to always drop the ball there. And considering you hear those lines almost 90% of the time ... just ugh.
