ahh nice, most korean mmo's require you to have a full group and a massive amount of money to start a clan/guild/legion.
I also asked in the site suggestion forum to have the aion portal setup and have the forums added to the quick list. DF said she would look into it. *keeps fingers crossed*

Remember servers open tomorrow (Friday) for preselect at 12PM PST. Only for those that preordered.
Also I believe they are still set on using the faction management system they went with in OB. If a certain faction becomes too popular on a specific server, they block out that faction until the two balance out. If you can't pick Asmodean when you log in, give it a bit and try again later. Servers are restricted to single faction and that lock might not lift even if you delete all your toons on that server.
If anyone can confirm/deny the faction lock, even if all toons have been deleted, it would be appreciated. I just remember someone yelling about it during OB so it might have been changed.

the team is really busy with the crunch so they are missing alot of tweets, but I would assume the faction management system would be in place.
I'm surprised they decided to actually let the game launch w/o gameguard, this is a good indication that the Aion devs will listen to the community and make changes accordingly. On Israphel i will probrably be making an asmodian gladiator and on Kasiniel i will be making an asmodian sorcerer.

Vendolyn and I were chatting in #Aion last night and decided to start an Elyos on the "Z" server (we could not remember the server name, just that the name starts with a "Z"). I suppose we could also start an Asmo on Israphel.
However, something to bear in mind... Siel and Israphel were the 2 servers that were available the first Closed Beta Weekend, hence those 2 are the most heavily favored by almost everyone that was in the CB and OB. We MAY want to pick a different server.
Or not. Those 2 are certain to have high populations and be very active.

Actually the original vote was for a -8 server but if all the servers are based on the east coast, the server time is pretty much irrelevant. Also, if we switched to Zikel to follow Blud we would also be changing to Elyos.
Is their any reason to avoid a high population server? The over population in the starter zones would only be a problem for a week or so. Also, with the faction balancing system, I have a feeling server populations are going to be a lot more uniform than people think.
Personally the only thing I cared about has been removed so I'm up for whatever, but changing server and faction the morning the servers open for early entry probably isn't the best idea.

Raolan has a very good point. We should probably stick with Asmo and Israphel for that reason. Besides, there are gonna be folk that don't see the change in time and are gonna go Asmo/Israphel no matter what we say, here.

The launcher is stuck at loading and updating extensions. It was working fine an hour ago. I assume the servers are just short of exploding right now.
Seems to be working for me i'll be making Gutler the asmodian Gladiator on israphel in a few minutes.
I finally got in. The launcher was hanging on both my systems for a few minutes, not sure what it was about.
Isra it is then. However I cant give my name till tonight after work. During my sleep appearently the NC launcher crashed or shut itself down and I still had 6800mb to go... so I can't make my Sorcerer like I had wanted to.
