Someone could mention a certain flash game that involves Midna and a wolf version of Link?

I think that'll have to be you, as I;m sure none of the rest of us know what you're talking about.

Well, it was created by Zone, if that helps.

pokemon(s), KHI/II, earthbound(s), FFT(s), SW:KotOR(s), suikoden(s), fallout(s), BoF(s), FE(s), PS(O), and the rest of the FF series fall somewhere in the next 20.

Was a good game, but it just fell small and non-epic compared to OoT, like an expansion pack rather than a full game. TP was awesome up until the end, which I felt was disappointing.

Mass Effect
Was ok, but the combat and side missions were boring and repetitive, and the story was fake-non-linear.

Because 'they' are too busy destroying the forum continuity by moving other threads that don't need to be moved.

If this thread is still here after work today, I'm making a thread about ***** in the OoT to teach them a lesson about continuity.

I'm more concerned that some **** made a thread in the OOT and you ******* actually stuck with the theme instead of derailing into something actually of interest to the OOT as a whole.

See, now that's something of interest to the OOT as a whole (in general).

Um... You guys realize that none of those games are actually RPGs, right? Clicking options on a screen is not actually "roleplaying".

Wiki, RPG wrote:
A role-playing game (RPG; often roleplaying game) is a game in which the participants assume the roles of fictional characters.[1] Participants determine the actions of their characters based on their characterization,[1] and the actions succeed or fail according to a formal system of rules and guidelines.[2] Within the rules, players have the freedom to improvise; their choices shape the direction and outcome of the game.[2]

Wiki, RPG(video game) wrote:
Characteristics

Generally, the player controls a small number of game characters, usually called a party, and achieves victory by completing a series of quests. Players explore a game world, while solving puzzles and engaging in tactical combat. A key feature of the genre is that characters grow in power and abilities, and characters are typically designed by the player. RPGs rarely challenge a player's physical coordination, with the exception of action role-playing games.

These games usually have a highly developed story and setting, which is divided into a number of quests. Players control one or several characters by issuing commands, which is performed by the character at an effectiveness determined by that character's numeric attributes. These attributes increase each time a character gains a level, and a character's level goes up each time the player accumulates a certain amount of experience. Although, in some recent games, the character can "level up" more specific stats by merely performing actions that relate to them.

Role-playing video games borrow their genre terminology, settings and game mechanics found in early role-playing games such as Dungeons & Dragons. However, computers do not yet have the power to simulate nonplayer characters with the skill of a human game master. Thus, role-playing video games borrow more of the core mechanics from early role-playing games without as much of the role-playing activity and character freedom

Do you realize that language evolves?

I mean, that's a rhetorical question because you don't and never have, but look, you're being pedantic, twatty, and verifiably incorrect according to any conception of role-playing to any person in the world who has a broader notion of the game than pen and paper, and if you really want to be all prescriptively purist about the concept, then there has never been an rpg made in the history of electronic games.

1. The literal interpretation of role playing game is very broad, and technically includes most every game ever made.

2. All those games do involve role playing, and could fit very easily the older interpretation of RPG.

3. RPG has come to define a genre that is distinctly separate from any reasonable interpretation of the term. Final Fantasy is closer to what RPG now has come to mean than the original D&D.

4. Role playing is stupid.
