Eqoa was my first mmo as for many other folks so lets here your most noob moment.

Mine was my when I was on my 1st char was a mage I believe and I did 3 quests in a row then the quest guy wouldnt give me another quest. He told me I needed to gain more "strength" before I could achieve the next quest.

Well like a idiot I go into my talent points and put all the points I got into strength then tried to talk to him again. lol Ofcourse this did not work b/c he was talking about leveling up.

All in all tho this was funny to me and ill never forget this.

Damn that was so long ago...

I do remember making all my first characters as elves. And I was some caster maybe a enchanter and I fell into the water in between two of the guilds, well I couldn't find my way back up to the city so I dove down underwater til I died and re spawned at spirit master. Remember doing the same thing in neriak to cause I fell into that stupid hole just past the bridge.

I remember when swimming in the fayspires lake too and suddenly dieing, my group explained it was the "lake stalker" that ate me :/ I remember a couple months(actually it was probably over a year...) ago while questing on a 20 something toon and finding and killing the *******.

Another noob moment just came to mind...this time outside of tethelin near that wasp hive, first time using a invis spell I couldn't figure out why my weapon was still showing up so I unequipped it so nothing could see me...

Man I miss the noob days, now with this game when I make a new toon I'm so damn efficient about it:First get tradeskill samples from everyone in town, sell and use money to put starting food on auction, buy food on higher toon, use money to buy boon, do 1-4 quests at once, do 5 quest...so on...

Even with mmos I'm brand spanking new at I don't get anywhere close to the same feeling, if I could wipe my brain of all eqoa experiances up to a month after I started I would.

I know what ya mean by still wanting to be clueless when it comes to new mmos type things. Like when you have no idea what your doing you dont even think that your in a video game. Feels real.

Also its so hard to get into a mmo now with work and everything back when I first started I was 13 years old and just hit summer vacation so eqoa was all I did. Made me get into 200% more.

The best and worst part at the time was the no map thing b/c I'd be running around and no clue where I was then BAM Instant Red circles all around me,hearts racing then bam ur dead.

1 coach run I always hated was trying to get between like neriak up to moramidum I think was the name (the dwarf place) I always got stuck on that damn mountain and it pushed me in the wrong direction. But always forgot about the dam orc cave.

Sorry such a long read but hard not to get into it. Tried commin back, lvl'd a shaman to 49 but didnt feel the same. Never thought I would missed grind fests but I do bad.

It's so sad we are all now 'enlightened' upon MMOs. It really does break my heart. I actually remember the day I become enlightened. I was helping my friend Nednerb with his 20 quest, up in that underground area surrounded by undead, north of fay.

i grew up in neriak on mf. I always seen a TON of people who named their chars after FF chars. I always thought they were godly due to their level 20ness. 20 seemed soooo impossibly far away. i always saw a char named bahamut running around. when i was like level 3, MAYBE 4, i saw him fishing (right after that update) on a boat under the bridge inside neriak. i decided to drop down and stand there with him. i did this a lot (randomly following people until they talked to me first). he asked me if i fished, and i told him i didn't know where to get it. he told me to follow him, so i jumped into the water. i apparently didn't know how to swim.

as we were swimming towards the bank (where the fishermen were), i ran out of breath and panicked trying to swim up. he said something to me, and i toldem i didnt know how to go up. he told me, but i died too soon. by time i had ran back to where he was, he was gone completely )'= . i felt like he looked down upon me then since i was a low level (before i knew the word 'noob'). i really miss this game..
