I have just seen in news articles that Masashi Hamauzu who is a composer for SE has left to seek employment elsewhere. For anyone who does not know he composed the music for FFX, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and FFXIII along with other titles.

I have always liked his music on at least the Final Fantasy series games I have played and I believe SE is losing a great talent

DEAR H.T. EVOM:

You may consider relocating this thread to a more appropriate forum, such as the gaming forum (=22).

I can at least respect Dirge for being one of the few, if not only console shooters that support USB Keyboard and Mouse.

This. I bought Harvest Moon 64 for like $65 off eBay and it was a better purchase than that piece of crap.

Now, if Hitoshi Sakimoto said he'd never work for Square again, I'd cry.

As it is, he left them already because he felt he didn't have enough artistic freedom.

Squeenix has some seriously talented composers on their payroll, and it's disappointing to see one leave. I've always enjoyed the music of the Final Fantasy series, it's one of the major attractions for me. It's part of the reason I love the Kingdom Hearts series so much too. That series turned me into a Yoko Shinomura fanboy...

But as long as Hamauzu's still going to be composing and getting pieces out there, then I suppose it doesn't really affect anything in a major way.

Nobou Umatsu (yes prob very mispelled) left before FFX-2 was made and I noticed there music has suffered ever since. He did an excellent job with Lost Odyssey music though.

Nobuo Uematsu

Here's a link to his wikipedia page, for people who care to know more about him.

Remember, he composed One Wing Angel
