new playerFollow

I just started playing the free trial on Chimaera, but the space stuff has completely frustrated me. I find it next to impossible to hit enemies, and the missions just seem a complete mess. It's a shame because i quite like the rest of it.

I'm still doing the basic missions at the space station, but i have one where i'm supposed to fly around some ships and detect a black sun spy. But all they have me do is fly to waypoints where there is no ship. There's supposed to be a ship there I can disable (which will take hours given how terrible ship combat seems to be) and then inspect. I just don't get it at all. I fly to the waypoint and nothing appears, there's no ship visible and nothing on the target when I press tab.

I'd be grateful if someone could explain this to me.
