So, a sequel (prequel?) of Vandal Hearts for the PSX has been released on Xbox Live and PSN.
I downloaded the demo, and the gameplay itself looks good. But I don't know about the story. It's an SRPG, and I like SRPGs, but there are quite a few out there that suck.
It costs 15 dollars on Xbox Live, (probably similar on PSN). Has anyone played the full version?

My friend is a HUGE fan of the original game. He got Flames of Judgment and said he was sorely disappointed. He said they made it all "child like and cartoonish" much the same way FF Tactics is different from FFTA and FFTA2.

That's sad to hear, the original Vandal Hearts on PSX was such an awesome game. I got excited when I saw the title, but after reading your comment Kuwoobie, it makes me wonder what goes through these developers minds. I seriously hate when they sacrifice games like that, is it for the money?
I miss vandal hearts 2, now that was a unique battle system.
