flOw free on PSN todayFollow

#1 Feb 13 2010 at 10:13 AM Rating: Excellent
through another site I found out flOw is free for download today (may just for today, not sure) on the PSN.
Figured I'd pass the info along. I DLed it and it is neat, reminds me of the 1st stage of Spore. You are a little plankton like creature, as you eat other stuff you get bigger. At the end of the stage you unlock a new creature and you repeat.
It seems each creature has it's own unique way of getting the job done. The 1st one I played I was a flat-worm like thing, the 2nd was a Jelly-fish like thing that I could get to spin and it seemed to make it easier to eat other smaller creature and to keep my HP safe.

You use Sixaxis part of the ps3 controller, so you just tilt to move. Tap any button will make your killer dash.
Pretty simple and seems like a good game to play when you have time to waste.

I have this on my PSP. Excellent game for when you just want to chill. Relaxing music, easy gameplay, doesn't demand any real skill or concentration... Good fun.

If I didn't already have it (or had a PS3), I'd totally jump on this. Free is the best price.

Very relaxing game to play before bed, but too addicting to for me to recommend playing before bed.

QFT. Good to know I'm not the only one who looked up at the clock and said, "How the f*** did it get to be 8 hours past my bedtime?!" :D

If you missed it, but still want to give the game a try here it is via Flash.

I can't say I've ever let it get that bad, but I've certainly lost a few hours of sleep here and there to this game. Smiley: laugh

Also, that damn rubber ducky game.

Not usually 'cause of something lightweight like flOw, really. I tend to get engrossed in games I've just bought, like Mass Effect or Bioshock or such, and have gone "crap, I need to go to bed so I can get up for work in 4 hours" many times.

Lately though, the #1 culprit has been either TV Tropes or Cracked.com's various lists of random trivia/weird stuff... :)

It's like I'm talking to my long lost twin or something. Smiley: laugh
