I've gotta say after six years of constant MMO play. Its nice to be back to my roots, so to speak. Only one problem.....the money, lol.

I finally bought myself a PS3 back in December and so far I'm having a blast. The PS3 seems to be hitting its stride with the quality of content and I've been soaking it up or rather my wallet has.

Uncharted 2
Bioshock 2
Rachet and Clank-Crack in Time
MGS2
Star Ocean
ME2(got this for the PC and glad I did)
Darksiders
Bayonetta

These are just the games I have physically bought since then, with numerous others rented or borrowed. WHEW!

Now with GOD3 and FFXIII coming I think its time to grab another job =P

Silly talk I know, but like I said, man am I having FUN!

Yeah, a lot of the games you listed are better to rent than to buy. I really don't get how people can justify buying a $50 to $60 game that only takes 10 hours to beat when you can rent them for 5 days and it only costs you 5 to 8 bucks depending on where you rent from. Some games are worth buying, I'm sure FFXIII will be one of those if for the amount of time it takes to play through the game, or because it's *hopefully* going to be an awesome game. If the games were rented much more than they were purchased, video game companies would notice this and start making the games longer so they were actually worth the money charged.

Not in Canada it isn't... I think Game Access is the only service up here that offers anything like the US Netflicks or GameFly. I have not tried the service yet but I will have to give it a try soon. I wish there were more of these services up here though, as I end up renting from a brick and mortar store and keeping games too long, or as was mentioned, I buy the game and beat it in 10 hours and never touch the disk again.

I have been catching up my console collection lately too. I haven't had a current generation console since the PS2 but after picking up a PS3 this year (Yay for Boxing Day Sales!), I have been trying to get back in touch with some of my favorite titles.

I have been hunting for value rich (read: CHEAP) pre-owned/greatest hits/deals lately and picked up the following:
-Metal Gear 4
-Bioshock
-Uncharted
-Little Big Planet
-Ratchet and Clank - Tools of Destruction

Yeah I know....old games.

The only 'new' stuff I have grabbed so far is MW2, Dante's Inferno and GOW3, but Heavy Rain is also on the radar at the moment...(any word if it's a buy or rent? I hear the replay value is there.)
