Being ****-blocked something fierce (tech issue)Follow

After being inspired by a thread in another forum, I decided to renew my subscription the other night. I haven't played the game since Mines of Moria was the hot stuff, so I went to download the full game client (since that was the only option), assuming I could still play the non-expansion content on my old Shadows of Angmar account.

Well, I never got that far. After spending 30 hours downloading the 10 gigabyte of data, I went to install the game and got a corruption error on client_mesh.dat with a Codemasters tech guy suggestion I re-download the game with my anti-virus turned off. Yeah... no. I'm not going to spend 30 hours online without some measure of protection.

So basically, I find myself in the position of having to re-download the entire client again, presumably with the same corruption error. I feel like I just got dumped by a chick I paid to date me.

Note: I can't find my original game box, hence why I'm downloading it online.

I got a corrupted file on install as well. I use win7 and after removing and installing a newer 64 version of winrar it worked perfectly fine. I didn't have to dl the client again.
