First of all [SPOILER ALERT]!!!!

second, I just finished FFXIII and let me tell you, what a load of mediocrity. There is nothing stellar about this game. I was hoping for at least a good story line, and instead I get 40 hours of waffling about whether to save the world or destroy it, only to have it end with them saving it by destroying it. That's not a story!!! That's a decision making process! and it ended up in a compromise! They could have at least chosen one! Also how many times do you have to kill a ****? I was yelling at my screen when I saw that bird flying into the puddle, shoot it or something, he's done this 3 times before! Any way I just had to rant this somewhere... so yeah.

Combat system was interesting once they actually let you play.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.

Deal with it. The story is OK, but the gameplay and battle system was / is great. Go win the Mark Missions or figure out how to defeat the A Class Missions without the guide...

Not the best story, but a really good game.

I got to the last dungeon, started to backtrack to finish the mark missions...and then just stopped playing the game. I guess that does enough to describe how much I care about the plot. I still haven't finished it. Might just watch the ending on youtube.

Man, it had some gorgeous environments, though. Some areas in that game made me just stop dead and pan the camera around and around....

I just wish it had more to it in every other aspect of the game.

This jumble of words is not a sentence. Try again.

It's the only FF so far I haven't played. I don't know, I'm just not feeling it, and I hear it's really linear, which doesn't sound that fun. I couldn't finish the Xenosaga games because they were so linear. Jumping through some hoops to see the next segment of a movie does not a videogame make.

Just for the record, Cocoon wasn't destroyed. They only killed Orphan/Minerva/Bart. Might want to watch that ending again, everyone in Cocoon were saved, including animals/monsters and transported to Pulse. The ending just has to be watched a few times to understand it. I had to rewatch it again myself on youtube to understand a few parts. Everything just happened so fast. The Fal'cie on Cocoon were destroyed though so everything stopped working obviously. The Fal'cie on Pulse still exist.
