Of course, I am talking about Tin. The incredible scarcity of Tin has been remarked upon in forums and in-game chat ad nauseum, but really, Turbine? Is this really necessary? For 2 crafts, Weaponsmith and Metalsmith, Tin is critical because of Bronze. You cannot get out of Apprentice with large quantities of Tin. have you seen the AH prices for Tin? Assuming you can find any at all. Tin is the bottleneck preventing 2 crafts from progressing, and is a big reason why so many players never get those 2 crafts beyond Apprentice. They give up.
But that is not really what made me start this post... Rowan Branches. Not as rare as Tin, gods know, but it is hard enough to find that it is an issue. Is it too much to ask that certain places, especially heavily wooded places like the Bindbole Woods, should have a high concentration of these tier 1 nodes? Bindbole is so thickly forested, they should be so common there you cannot swing a dwarf by his beard without hitting a Rowan Branch!
How about a little bit of sanity in node placement? Mineral Deposits should be thicker along the base of cliff faces and in Quarries. Branches should be where you see trees!
