Lol, no avatar or emoticons unless you pay? :( <--didn't work :(

Plan on adding more forum sections?

Plan on changing the overall look of the forum at all? it is awfully dark and gloomy :(

I think they're going for the whole emo thing. I for one cannot wait to get out my nail polish.

So far as avatars go, you might want to check here: http://www.zam.com/forum.html?forum=3

All the forums here are accessible by all the other forums, so there are some limits on what we can do.

But I'll do some investigating and get back to you.

The forums here (including the premium program) are going to be reviewed over the coming months. You can expect quite a few improvements, but implementation will be a while off yet considering the amount of work involved.

What they have right now, from an administrator perspective, is really quite slick compared to a wordpress/vB back end. Everything is incredibly well integrated and smooth. Still it's missing a few features and ZAM is aware of that.

looked at a bunch of other games forums on here. would be nice to get away from this super dark black color ;)

although i guess you could always just look at the gw2 forums from another games main page to view the boards with a different color :D

I was reading the forums with a blue/white layout and I had no idea what you guys were on about with this "dark" thing. Looked plenty fine to me!

Then I hit the regular button and the lights went out. well, I can always embrace my broody side; file my tusks or something to get in the mood.

Yup! It's actually pretty neat; you just edit the domain name in the URL to get a different skin. An easy one is changing GuildFans to ZAM.

Still, personally, I'm a big fan of the dark scheme.

I might as well ask this here - where's the mark forums as read option? I've been looking all over but can't find that. :D

Unfortunately there isn't one. The forum is too big for the database to handle that. Without completely wrecking everything anyway.
