Electric gym wasn't that bad, imo. Relatively easy while it was the two emolga--I just used herdier to take them out. Didn't matter that they kept switching, because the emolga were so weak that he was 2-hitting them with tackle. Including the hyper potion turn, it would only have taken 5 turns to win.

Unforunately, she used the potion such that one emolga was at full health when the other died, so I ended up fighting a full health emolga and blitzle's evolution. Irritating, but I just switched in Sandile for Herdier (who was finally low on health) and took them out that way. If blitzle was out, I used astonish (3 hits to ko emolga). If emolga was out, I used Sand Tomb/Mud Slap. Beat the gym without anyone fainting.

Though, my pokemon where all at levels 24/25, because I was in the desert resort for forever, trying to catch a dwebble. I gave up after an hour or so--I'll just grab one later. >:(

I'm off today. Somebody battle my Gen V team I used to make it through the game. My transfers aren't ready for combat due to the fact that you cannot transfer their held items along with them ><

Edit:

I would but I'm not through the game yet. Still have one more gym and the E4. I'm going pretty slow.

I just beat gym 3. Smiley: frown

Then again I can power through the game at my leisure because I got two sets of old pokemon (one set in the 20s, the other 60-100) from my SoulSilver game (brother transferred them to his copy of White, then traded them to me for level 5s Smiley: grin).

I'm a dirty cheater, but I hate the new pokemon. All of them look retarded.

I'm finally at the E4. I have noticed that there is absolutely no where good to level in this game. Even the high levels of Victory Road only offer pokemon up to about level 40-43, and they are usually pretty rare. This has been making leveling a pain in the ***. In fact, I've started to just use the Audino trick to level pokes.

Though apparently I just need to go get a Scrafty with crunch and hi jump kick and /faceroll the E4.

Also, apparently the Global Link had an update that said it would open on the 13th, but I guess that was quickly taken down, so we are still waiting for a new release date for the GL. Which frankly is fine since I still need to beat the E4 and plan my lineup...and then build it.

Make sure you give it the Lucky Egg to boost the amount of XP received. I wouldn't worry about leveling them past 50 for the first E4, the aren't much higher than level 48. You fight King N for the final battle of the main story right after. You get to catch the dragon mascot for your version right before that battle, so you get a oddfree-ish level 50.

My main gripe is that it's a ***** and a half to level pokemon over level 80. I have an 80 Dragonite, a 75 Victini, a 78 Vaporeon, and a 79 Espeon and it's getting a little too repetitive to *****-slap Morimoto and the E4 over and over and over. Even the Lucky Egg isn't that much of a help. Smiley: frown

Then again, it's taken me like eleven years to get my Umbreon to 100 (I've had it since the original Silver came out in 2000).

Yes, killing Audino for major exp with Lucky Egg. I'm leveling a Scrafty this way, once I get it to 44 I'm going to take him to the E4.

Theo: I agree it's really a pain in the *** to level pokemon right now. Well hopefully when I can just do E4 runs it will be ok.

E4 is not a bad way, it's just a pain in the *** to beat the champion if your best pokemon are dark (Umbreon) and dragon (Dragonite). His types are: bug, normal (with mega horn, bug-type), dragon, ice, bug/steel, bug/fire.

Back when my Umbreon was early 90s, his 77 bug/fire could one-shot my Umbreon with 320+ HP.

I've since leveled my Victini and I'm in the process of leveling my Reshiram, but it's kind of getting boring. I just wish they had an alternative to the E4, or that they'd have continued with badges in a second area like they did in SoulSilver/HeartGold. After playing SS for so long, I feel like the Black/White area is way too small.

I thought there was a way to get back to Sinnoh via a plane or something, though I have read nothing about that so I don't even know where I got the idea from. I went and leveled a Scraggy/Scrafty, he hit 44 and I went to the E4, he is 54 after all is said and done with N and Ghetis.

I'm in the process of trying to determine my line up. It's really hard because I'm trying not to fall into the OP norm, which I know a lot of people are going to use Hydregion, Haxorus, and some of those other 400 pokemon. Though I am planning one 400 poke that I hope gets over looked because he could be a beast.

Global Link is finally up and running. (to an extent.) It's available here.

I put my Snorlax to sleep, but he isn't "dreaming" yet after 20 minutes or so and I can't access the dream thing yet.

I'm sorry that your parents never told you this, but when you put something to sleep it's never going to dream again.

:/

[EDIT]

I tucked in my Drillbur, but can't access it yet.

I finally got my line up all planned out on an excel sheet! I started breeding tonight. So far it's been a complete pain in the ***. 45ish eggs and only 3 of the correct nature. One of them had decent IV's in everything BUT what I wanted.

I will never ever ever try to breed for IVs. I tried once upon a time, but I just can't bring myself to care enough for a game that I'll likely forget about in a few months anyway.

I want to get more into battling and if you don't IV check then it's a pretty big disadvantage. The Japanese take their pokemon playing a bit too seriously and pretty much look for all 30's in their IV's and you know they will always bring the most OP pokemon.

I just realized I stereotyped over pokemon!

But the whole Global Link is going to provide for some ranked battling and even tournaments are going to be hosted over it so that's why I want to do it.

Yeah, I don't care enough, and a few of my friends that play don't care enough, so meh. Maybe once I get a few 100s I'll start breeding for IVs for the next game (or I might buy White), but until then **** that.
