People are countering the complaints by saying "Set an alarm!"

Not that I think the whiners are correct but:
(A) The last thing these people need is less sleep
-and-
(B) The day I set an alarm to wake me up in the middle of the night for a chance at saving three bucks on a video game is the day I need to seriously re-evaluate what I'm doing with my life.

Seriously, that's the sort of thing they make TLC shows out of so normal people can point and laugh.

I remember setting alarms for camping HNM in FFXI. Smiley: lol And they didn't even save me money on games!

Wouldn't an easier solution that doesn't involve actually losing sleep be to shift your sleep schedule by an hour or so in order to have your sleep be during the last 4 of one and the first 4 of another?

An easier solution would be to stop worrying about flash sales. Having a twenty dollar game go from 66% off to 75% off ($1.80 difference) isn't worth changing your sleep patterns for.

Apparently two bucks is worth complaining about.

Amazon has ArmA II: CO for $20 if you're one of the people who has been waiting on it. Might still be a Steam Daily before the sale is over though.

Anyone ever play War40k SM? Kind of tempted to pick it up for 8 bucks. Though I almost feel it might sit in my backlog a long time.

I have it.

I dont think it's worth 8 bucks. The MP is not great and the single player campaign feels dated. That said, using a jump pack and a chain sword in a 3rd person shooter game is a pretty fun thing.

From Dust get. The sale is barely twenty-four hours old and I've already bought three games. This may not end well.

I haven't bought anything yet Smiley: frown

Well, from Steam anyway.

Since it won the vote, is AC: Revelations any good for $13.50? I probably won't get it anyway since I have yet to play through the AC games I own but I thought I'd ask.

I voted Fear 3 over Bioshock 2 or Metro 2033 just because those two games are constantly on sale for 75% off.

Went ahead and bought Sonic Generations, since it was a daily deal today. Considering E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, and will probably grab Sins of a Solar Empire if it is a daily deal this time around.

Edit: Also, Alan Wake franchise on sale for $9.99 as a flash sale.

If you like the AC games, Revelations is worth getting. It's not the best of the series, but it it is fun and wraps up the storylines for both Altier and Etzio.

Last hour for Alan Wake franchise. Or, if you're really cheap, the stand-alone American Nightmare is just $3.75

I passed on it. By the time I get to it, it'll be cheaper anyway.

The "Ys" games are on sale, with Ys: Origin as a Flash sale. Think Legend of Mana with platforming.

All Orcs Must Die! - $3.74
Tropico 4 - $7.49
Skyrim - $29.79
Frozen Synapse - $4.99
Two Worlds - $7.49
Borderlands - $4.99
Dead Island - $10.19
Dirt: Showdown - $24.99
And the day's Indie Bundle for the usual $9.99

Assume everything is franchise sales and look to see the cost on GoTY editions, DLC, etc. So much for the dreams of those who thought Skyrim would hit 75% off Smiley: laugh

Edit: Also, last day for Sniper Elite V2 for $15 from Amazon.

For people living under a rock for the past decade, KOTOR is on sale for $2.49. It was worth the $10, so it's definitely worth the sale price. May not have aged the most gracefully, but it's definitely still enjoyable.

Buying From Dust and Plants Vs. Zombies.

I'm looking at the Half Life Complete Package. Is it worth it?
-Team Fortress Classic
-Half-Life: Opposing Force
-Half-Life
-Half-Life: Blue Shift
-Half-Life 2
-Half-Life: Source
-Half-Life 2: Deathmatch
-Half-Life 2: Lost Coast
-Half-Life 2: Episode One
-Half-Life 2: Episode Two

Individual ones (or at least some of them) are on sale for 50% anyway, so it's not like I can't just buy the best ones separately. THis package is $20.

Have you played HL2?

People swear by it but I eventually lost interest by the second time they wanted me to do a "Drive & Shoot" vehicle sequence. I'm sure it was groundbreaking for its time but, like Clerks or Fast Times at Ridgemont High, I feel like you kinda had to be there when it was fresh to fully appreciate it.

I haven't no. I never had much interest in it, but I only ever hear good things. I'll pass for now, then. I have more than enough left to play that I'm not going to be missing it, really.

In any case, HL2 might be on super sale tomorrow, so might as well wait. Or it'll be Portal 2, and I can finally nab that. Loved the original...

I voted for 75% off Amnesia tomorrow, in case I ever need something to share the sh*t out of me.

Bastion is currently 33% off.
